I can't recall Randal the Vandal or any of the raid bosses complaining because they're tired of being one-phased or dying to the same loadouts each week. PVP players complain about the meta because they either have fragile egos that need to believe that they are losing only because other people are overpowered (Its not FAIR!!), or because the meta requires them to change their play style in order to be effective and they either don't want to do it. Or feel like they shouldn't have to (better players usually get on this high horse, and insist that its for the good of the game that they shouldn't have to change). PVE players never complain about the meta. They'll usually just complain about feeling bored. Its the devs who usually go after the mets in PVE. Usually because of power creep. We've gotten so powerful that we're breaking the game (like average raid teams one-phasing most raid bosses), or its gotten to the point where they're having difficulty designing new content that we won't roflstomp. Its usually good for the devs to clawback power at that point. Because I've seen what happens when devs let power creep get out of control...and then just retune the game to that absurd level of power. The result is ugly, and its game-breaking. While the constant nerfs are frustrating, I have to give Bungie credit for stepping in before power issues become a threat to the game.

Are smgs that good? Or is it just ikelos. I use Shayura’s for pve at times and I love it, but ikelos still wrecks
