Bungie already said they will. Most likely next season along with 3 peeking being disabled which is the perfect time.

17 AntwortenAbsolutely not. It’s an exotic and a power weapon which means the user is only making use of their exotic slot when they have ammo. It’s slow and easy to spot and doesn’t even have much ammo. You’re much more likely to die from Wardcliff or a power weapon that utilizes mobility. Stop calling for nerfs on things that don’t need it.

Denied! There is nothing wrong with the catalyst Heir Apparent! It's weaklings like you that can't adapt to the weapon that pisses me off. I can't help but name the means to counter such a beautiful weapon system.

With the catalyst, it takes (depending on the archetype), almost 3 shots with an ARC Sniper to break the shield; It can also block a fist of havoc melee / slam, and takes more than 3 arcbolt grenades to break. This is ALL with ARC-Elements. You have extremely little hope of even getting it below a quarter shield otherwise, even with Supers (it can tank 3~ golden gun shots with the catalyst). The only weapon I've seen have a chance of beating it head-on, is Wardcliff Coil, or a high-impact ARC rocket launcher with cluster bombs. The standard Heir Apparent is pretty easy to counter without the catalyst so long as you're careful, but it's near impossible to fight against with the catalyst equipped if they have the shield up.

I don’t know if it should be nerfed. I mean mobility is king in the game right now. But it is a bit disheartening that you literally stand zero chance against it. Maybe a movement nerf on it so it’s almost immobile while spun up

Just don’t challenge or bait them at corner with ability and special weapon. I’m what else is killing you in pvp that you want nerfed??????? I’m sure there is much more since you’re having a hard time vs a over shield machine gun.

6 AntwortenThe solution is too run away: They are at a walking pace with Heir apparent. Don't fight them, don't feed them kills. Just run away, and if you hear them trying to follow, tear them apart before they get the shield up and have the weapon all spun up. Alternatively, use stasis: It disables the shield instantly if they are frozen.

I have killed a few Hunters running Heir w/ catalyst. I just hit them with a suppresor granade (Titan main) or use an arc weapon to weaken the shield, but never face a shielded Heir weilder head on. The trick here is to weaken the shield and survive long enough to break it. Just get a few hits from mid/long range with an ARC weapon. Take cover & flank. Tho, Heir with the catalyst takes a bit more hits to break, but the shield can steadily be weakened. Nerfs are never the answer! Since, PVP nerfs always negatively affect PVE in one way or the other and with Bungie's track record of over-nerfing weapons, well...

Bait the guy to use their ammo up. Go in and out of cover and let your shields recharge and he’ll run out of ammo and lose his shield in no time. Either that or use stasis.

4 Antworteni find it both hilariously fun, and annoying as all hell in the receiving end as that shield is stupid strong. However have you tried baiting them? dont try 1v1-ing it, you'll get destroyed, a good placed stasis nade always do the trick for me, can get rid of it pretty quick.

Its very easy to counter with witherhoard, the bubble actually increases their hit box so one witherhoard shot kills them overtime. They are pretty tanky after being shot so you have to run for like 10 seconds until they die from it.
