As many of you know, there are mouse's and keyboards that supports programmable buttons with macros.
I saw a lot articles where bungie simply bans the accounts where they detect any programs related to cheating, even if is not meant to manipulate destiny2 process. I also notice there is no way to have decent support from them in case you get banned.
So .. I have a Razer Tartarus Pro, programmable gaming keypad. where I can record macros and get some advantages in the game like spawn a sparrow with one key, or you know, more specialized sequences.
I have tested a simple macro and did not got any ban or warnings (so far)
So I am asking them or the community. Can I use such "commercially approved" device in destiny2 , is there a warning that I can receive before being to late to even try to say I am sorry ?

:) Opinions on the following. One key for slide: (w+shift) + 0.16s + ctrl. Just tested the minimum required delay to be in running mode before slide can be active: T > 0.15s.

1 AntwortenIf you’re thinking of using any macro, ask yourself “Could this macro give me an advantage over other players?” i.e. could it press buttons / perform button sequences faster than or not possible using standard input devices, or could it modify / enhance your input commands in any way Did you ask yourself? Well, sorry to tell you this, but that was a trick question. If you had to ask yourself then clearly said macro is a no-no.

Most macro writing software have specific code in them for injecting code into the game, due to that reason you will not get a direct answer from Bungie because if they did answer it ... it would give cheaters a clue into how the potential ban software works. That being said, as someone said, for mundane tasks and by the software designed by the mouse/keyboard (ie. Synapse) you are usually safe but when you start downloading macros programmed by other people is where you will quickly run into problems.

5 AntwortenThere is no way to get a confirmation from bungie regarding using programmable gaming keypads ... They have no contact info ? How is anyone happy with this kind of treatment from them ?

4 AntwortenYou won't get a warning, if you break the rules and it is detected it just goes to perma ban. Macros are allowed for automating mundane tasks, like repetive buying of materials, not for automating gameplay or circumventing idle detection. So using them for anything in game is really a use at your own risk and have to ask yourself is it worth potential loss of account to save that 1/2 second in swapping weapons etc?
