Geo grapples towards the orb, and tries to pick it up.

Unfortunately, it’s still anchored in place, and you can’t move it, aside from making it wobble a bit. It’s also about half as big as you are, and would probably be pretty heavy. After its hand hits the water, it reaches to your back, and pulls you away from the heart. You only stagger back a couple steps, though, and were still close enough to strike. Fukua manages to block the first heading her way with a spectre, and the thing doesn’t seem to have any immediate attacks heading either of your ways.

Geo stabs it with her knife, or at least attempts to.

Its surface seems rather elastic, and so your knife doesn’t pierce through. However, as it wobbles from your attack, it does seem to have done something, as the fists disappear. There’s a shockwave, and you’re harmlessly pushed back to create some distance between you & the heart. Dark energy begins swirling around it, and then it starts shooting off a barrage of weak energy blasts aimed towards you like a machine gun.

[spoiler]The stairway’s kinda just a tunnel leading upwards. There’s no way to really hide under it. There are also vines blocking the way back up if you were thinking of just climbing up to get out of the way.[/spoiler]

Geo starts to hop around the room, trying to dodge the blasts.

You manage to dodge some of the blasts, but unfortunately the water slows you down, and you take a few hits. Luckily, each individual shot seemed to be rather weak. At the end of its stream, however, it lets out a pulse of dark magic, and fires off six homing shots. Three go for you, three for Fukua. They look bigger than before; they’ll probably hurt more! [spoiler]Remember to launch your attacks & dodges in the same post. Otherwise you’ll just be dodging forever. :p[/spoiler]

Unfortunately they don’t seem to react to you fire, and you get struck by all three of them. Fukua attempts to run from the ones chasing her, but winds up getting struck as well. The wounds burn for a bit, but luckily they don’t seem to have done anything too serious besides that. You fire your bullets, as Fukua dives in with a hair drill. Your attacks cause the thing to wobble again, and it begins pulling out a new attack. It summons four spinning scythes surrounding it in the center of the room, gradually spreading outwards. Fukua moves to the far wall amd tries to fire an energy sphere at it, but it gets aborbed, and countered by a laser which she narrowly dodges. “Call me crazy, but I don’t think we can use ranged attacks!” She yells.

Unfortunately, jumping across an entire room seems to be a bit too far of a jump, and you nearly fall straight into the blades, before you’re grabbed by Fukua’s spectre, who pulls you back to the edge of the room. “Sheesh, you almost became mincemeat, how about we think this through first before leaping into the spinning blades!?” She yells. The blades continue extending outwards. “Think things through quickly that is; those things are getting closer!”

Geo simply grapples to the ceiling above the orb, and drops down.

There’s a large root blocking you from grappling directly over it. If you dropped from here you’d land on the spinning blades.

Geo grapples onto the root, before looking for another good place to jump to.

There’s not anywhere to land that doesn’t have spinning blades over it save for the edges of the room. It seems you’ll have to get a bit creative. Find a way to hit it from the air, or perhaps come up with a team attack with Fukua.

Geo looks up at the root, wondering how sturdy it is.

It looks much thicker than any of the other vines you’ve seen; you doubt you’ll be able to break them.

Geo shrugs, and tosses a grenade at the orb.

The grenade gets absorbed by the heart, which proceeds to fire a dark laser at you. [spoiler]Remember, melee attacks only. If you want to use a grenade you’ll have to stick it from up close.[/spoiler]

[spoiler]But is the root above the heart?[/spoiler]

[spoiler]Yes, but it’s spreading out like a cone. The heart isn’t directly beneath you.[/spoiler]

Geo just jumps over to the heart, using her ability to double jump, wallrun, and her grapple if needed.

[spoiler]You’re going to need to be a bit more specific than that. You can’t throw a bunch of abilities at me and have me make your move for you. The situation, if you need a recap to formulate a better attack; It’s a big circular room, the heart’s in the middle with thick roots coming out from its top & bottom, anchoring it to the ceiling & floor. You can’t jump straight across the gap—it’s too far—and the roots prevent you from grappling directly overhead. You’re currently grapples to the ceiling. The floor is covered by spinning blades, you can’t use ranged attacks, and Fukua’s at the edge of the room. You’ll need to strike the heart while still in mid-air.[/spoiler]
