The mods themselves are creative, the way you level things up and mod them is rewarding, and the pve activity, even though its repetitive, is repeatABLE, and enjoyably so.
I havent logged into destiny since i started playing outriders, because destiny became a revolving world and my character was just as weak day one of the season as day 70, power level rose, but my interaction with the enemy did not change.
In outriders, at first you feel weaker, then you gain strength and you decide if you become overleveled, and godlike, only to be hit with a brick wall at end game material until you level up,
or you can let the world grow with you as you become stronger, so that the endgame meshes up nicely at your level,
but then, you can also go back and slaughter on a lower level setting.
Destiny can do this, and it should.
Let every destination have a power level selection, enemies -50 power, enemies unchanged, enemies +50
Also let solo be optional for every activity by simply turning matchmaking off or on as a whole in the options.
Turn off, and youll only see other guardians in the tower or in open world patrols, but you wont be put in fireteams for any activity.
Turn on, and well, normal stuff.
Let lower power activities yield little reward other than the fun of absolutely destroying everything with your new build.
Let higher level activities almost guarantee something nice. And let world drops become interesting again.
Also, bringing a guns rarity up is a cool idea, take a common rifle, upgrade it to rare, pick a perk to add from a list, upgrade it to legendary, select another perk to add from a list.
Let us spend mats to swap perks at the gunsmith
You know like an actual smith....of guns...you know...like someone who actually builds guns would do...
