And this isn't even the first time. There have been several instances where the enemy team, which usually has at least a few Trials of Osiris players, activates the mercy rule in several consecutive Control matches. Granted, it's the only gamemode I really play since I lack the confidence to play Competitive and especially Trials.
I highly doubt that it's me just having a bad day on this game, however, seeing as this is a common occurrence for me in the Crucible, and I think that the matchmaking system needs fixing. I'd suggest prioritizing skill over connection, but I'm no expert on these kinds of things, so I made a poll so you guys can give your input.
And before you say "bad lol just git good," yes. I'm bad at the game, but I want to get better, and that's kind of why I want better matchmaking - so I don't have to deal with getting stomped by entire clans in Quickplay, making it difficult for me to improve.
P.S., I also think there should be a Freelance mode for QP, but I'm not sure if it's relevant to this post.

You’re not the only one... matchmaking in every PVP playlist is whack. Last night I played several games; 3 in a row I was on the team who was mercied, the next 3 I was on the team who mercied. It’s incredibly inconsistent and the way they match players sucks. Even when mercied, I’d still get matched with the same exact people even after they “broke up” the teams. Idk what happened or what is going on but it’s messed up. I’m glad I’m not the only one seeing/experiencing this!

Bearbeitet von Euphoric_Blaze: 4/27/2021 12:06:46 AMPersonally for me, connection based all the way. I'm pve all the way and only play crucible when I have to. I'd rather have consistent games without lag and teleporting(not every game, but enough). I could care less when I face full stacks. Either I get mercied or they do. Just my opinion, everyone has their own.

2 AntwortenI think a Freelance would be awesome for solo players and should be implemented before any changes are made to matchmaking. The Iron Banner Freelance is fine in my opinion, but it does spilt the player base between Regular control and Iron Banner. Maybe with crossplay, this wouldn’t be as much of an issue at least for consoles. I am a solo player and hover around the top 10% of players. Trust me when I tell you this, SBMM takes away the casual play from people that are just good at the game. CBMM matchmaking can potentially hurt the lower echelon of players by putting them against top tier players. There is no right answer to the SBMM vs CBMM debate. You hurt one side to benefit the other unfortunately.
