Getting absolutely obliterated by a godly team that you have no business pairing my average KD team against is rough enough in the first place. Making me play them several times in the same evening is plain stupid. Please fix this as you look into mechanisms to make Trails more balanced.
Tonight I played, and lost to, the same three teams MULTIPLE times. The player pool can’t be this ridiculously low that I need to see these same teams consistently all evening.

It IS that ridiculously low. Trials I think has the lowest population in the entire game. No one plays it because of hopelessness. I dont play it because I know I won’t win and I’m better off not screwing over teammates. There are apparently changes coming next season to trials, but I probably still won’t even try a single game. Nothing will change that fact.

Cheats, lemmings, it's just a woeful mode in an abysmal pvp. If people want to play such trash, that's on them...
-
Unfortunately the player population in trials is that low. I love pvp (not destiny 2 pvp) and I barely touch this crap. Even when the loot is good it’s very hard for me to play trials of stasis. And knowing that the good loot I’m getting will be eventually nerfed (120’s definitely needed the upcoming nerf) is even less of an incentive to play.

Need to stop power advantage. Trials is for elites who have grinded. Its not true skill only.

2 AntwortenThe problem is that good teams are getting one win and then resetting so they can keep farming tokens without getting harder matches. Trials should force you to finish a card or at least play until 1 loss.
-
Bro that happened to me in quickplay 😂 got matched against a pvp sweat clan, it mercied us, and put us back in with them again.
-
Well... what were you expecting? The mode is that dead.
-
It is the all new gen matchmaking system. When I play with my team on all new gen we play the same team over and over again. Once we have one of our teammates switch to old gen and host it is a totally different game.

Hopefully Trials gets vaulted when they release Witch Queen. It should have been vaulted when Mercury was vaulted.

3 Antworten"Tonight I played, and lost to, the same three teams MULTIPLE times. The player pool can’t be this ridiculously low that I need to see these same teams consistently all evening." The answer is, it is. The player pool is that low. Trials is on its way to being dead, only a matter of time.

2 AntwortenBungo had to literally bribe players to be canon fodder in Trials so there would at least be players. The 10 games I play a week to get the free Trials engram are very laughable. FIRST round, FIRST game, our team went against a guy who had already went flawless several times that DAY. And then literally 9 games out of 10, one or more of the teams were cheating. THEN there's Stasis. I don't know how serious players play with Stasis in Trials. It's so f'ing annoying and game-breaking. It's annoying enough in the crucible, but in Trials it's terrible.

6 AntwortenBearbeitet von Truly: 4/11/2021 8:48:04 PMYa I had a team sweat on us and get their flawless after getting two wins on us when we were on our second and third match of the card. If that's how matchmaking is then it's hard to say too many of the people getting flawless deserve it. Like I can't imagine we were a challenge for them. Two games in a row. Back in Destiny 1 I got flawless on all 3 characters every week, it was a challenge, but matchmaking felt fair.

I like how people are gate keeping trials. The population is dying and that’s a fact. Why not make trials more open and attractive for a bigger part of the player base. I don’t see how this could harm anyone.

Trials is a $H!T game mode overall. 120s are too strong - no way a 120 should ever outgun a scout or a pulse at long range. Shotguns continue to be cancerous garbage. And Stasis continues to be the single worst game design decision ever. I hate this game so much. And yet I keep coming back.
-
Yeah I went on a rail trail the other day for a walk. They need to be nerfed. -75 nature.
-
If its a gun I want at 3 wins I will take all 3 characters through the bounty. Just here for the gear!
-
3 AntwortenSo, quick idea for trial, that i had just now. What if you can only reset your card adter a loss? Then, the people that want to reset will need to win a game, and then lose another.
-
You should be able to match everyone because you are all in the same tournament but you are right that there should not be repeat teams. That's something they should fix.

How about get good or just not play trials 🤷🏻♂️ K thanks! 😉

8 AntwortenBearbeitet von rockpicken: 4/11/2021 6:58:21 PMI played Trials last night for the very first time ever, and have been playing since D1. I am not great at PvP and in fact, Id say I'm rather trash at it. We won one round out of 10 five round games. All the teams against us were adept Trials weapons or masterworked legendaries, as well as masterworked armor. So no chance, and we knew that going in. After being humbled for 10 games I got the sword, but I won't be going back in there any time soon for any reason. Even against an adept team, we got DDOSed at least once during the 10 games. We were like, "why???" You're beating us handily but you have to DDOS us? So the cheating continues. Less inventive to play this game mode. I used to now like PvP at all, have gone to somewhat neutral about it by now, but Trials is for the best of the best PvP platers and I aint one of them. I hope the re-work that's rumored to be in the works changes that, but it still won't interest me that much.

Everyone is using stasis hunters and shotguns, so it feels like you're going against the same team over and over when you're really not.

1 AntwortenTry a VPN? If the pier-pier connection thinks you’re in a different part of the world you’ll match with players in that area instead, although you might experience more lag. Make sure it’s a good VPN. (I’ve found players in Europe to be much easier to play against compared to *for example* eastern USA). The opposite can also be true if you do have connection issues, switching to a closer location or one you’re more compatible with could bolster your connection to reduce lag.
-
5 AntwortenIts end game pvp. There is no “balancing”. You go against whoever your matched up against and try to go flawless. If your average at pvp you shouldnt expect to go flawless in endgame pvp.
-
4 AntwortenMaybe you should go to some trails in a different town and you wouldn't meet up with the same team. You could also not skip leg day at the gym. Strengthen those legs up and you might stand a better chance.

They aren't going to change it. IMO this is Trials's last year before it gets vaulted due to low participation. These are the same problems Trials has always had and Bungie still doesnt seem to get it.
