So the only weapons to get catalysts this season (I'm not including reintroduced catalysts) were Ticuu and Dead Man's Tale. What's coming this season? Another catalyst being released mid-season for another weapon no one uses and is coming with an event that no one liked last year for various reasons: Heir Apparent!
Still waiting on catalysts for the following weapons, most, if not all of them are more deserving or in greater need, Bungie:
Last Word.
Thorn.
Malfeasance.
Monte Carlo.
Queenbreaker.
Two Tailed Fox.
1K Voices.
Tarrabah.
Anarchy.
Divinity.
Wavesplitter.
Thunderlord.
Arbalest (never liked it, but I can almost see one soon after the nerf).
Wishender.
Chaperone.
Xenophage.
Deathbringer.
Bastion (damage is high enough, I would really only expect either a tighter spread or increased mag capacity).
Did I miss any? Many of these have been in the database since before the weapons were even released or even that season like Malfeasance. It's like you're terrified that something like increased reload and handling for a weapon like Xeno is going to break it even more than if Izanagi got an extra shot or two in the mag instead of Peerless Edge and the sniper nerfs back from season 9 or 10 were reverted.
Edit: Forgot Devil's Ruin, and while it's still a little too soon, Traveler's Chosen.
Edit 2: Forgot Le Monarque, Jotunn, and while these four are still new (2 of them are already powerful), Cloudstrike, Lament, Eyes of Tomorrow, and Salvation's Grip.

6 AntwortenIf Jotuns isn’t Full Court imma be disappointed

3 AntwortenExcuse me don't you dare insult my boi Heir Apparent. I use it all the time, it's an amazing weapon and I'm hyped for the catalyst.
-
Heir Apparent is not only fun to use, its better than people give it credit for. Also Ruinous Effigy has a Catalyst. Also also how dare you disrespect Le Monarque like that? Slap yourself pls. 😜

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von Veldrin: 3/19/2021 10:11:37 AMAnarchy is broken overpowered in PVE. It doesn't need a catalyst right now. Same for the PVP handcannons. Same for the other PVE meta weapons like for example Xenophage or Divinity. Those that are already meta should wait at the end of the queue to get a catalyst. The underpowered exotics should get catalysts first For example wavesplitter. Seriously this weapon is so bad it should be the first to get one.
-
2 AntwortenWould be cool if Xenophage had Improved recoil direction and Chain Reaction.
-
1 AntwortenI cared so little for the event last year, I didn't even bother with getting the Heir Apparent.
-
1 AntwortenEvery single exotics should have catalysts IMO. They don’t all have to make the fun stronger. We have catalysts that add only small benefits such as increasing reserves, range, handling etc. the strongest exotics should only receive small benefits whereas the weaker ones get additional perks. There’s no excuse to why the only raid exotic to this day to get a catalyst is legend of acrius.

Got a ton of devils' advocate trash lurking in this thread hating on your idea. You got my support though. Cheers!
-
3 AntwortenI vote Thunderlord before everything on the list.
-
1 AntwortenI can support an Anarchy catalyst, it should reduce ammo reserves by 40%. This objective will auto-complete upon logging in and automatically be applied to the weapon.
-
3 AntwortenThere are a lot of weapons in that list that don’t deserve a catalyst tbh.
-
1 AntwortenYou forgot best overload bow le monarch.
-
12 AntwortenWhy do Anarchy and Xenophage need catalysts? These weapons do crazy damage without a catalyst. If they get a catalyst they’ll get an overall nerf shortly after.
-
Increased reload on Xeno would break it. Any titan that used it vs GoS endboss will tell you how insane that is. A catalyst should be the sauce on the top. Enough to make it fun but not make it stupid. On a different note........I miss using last word. They completely neutered it for how I played with it. Could pull people out of supers with it back in those days. :P

5 AntwortenEffigy has a catalyst.
-
4 AntwortenI want you to explain to me why you think a catalyst improving Bastion would be a good idea and then I want you to read your explanation and make sure it makes sense before sending it
-
2 AntwortenThe Arbalest Catalyst should be "works in March Game"
-
Last word and thunderlord have catalyst perks in the API. We think they'll be released around guardian games.
-
I would love to see Malfeasance, Wishender and Thunderlord get catalysts. They have such potential, it would be nice to get a catalyst to unlock it and to produce orbs,
-
Bearbeitet von Darth Derrr (Defiled): 3/18/2021 9:46:14 PMI like Heir Apparent and would use it slightly more (than almost never) if it made orbs... That's not to say I wouldn't rather have a catalyst for a better exotic
-
1 AntwortenYes..! Its embarrassing that al those exotics r still inferior to legendaries in that they dont even drop orbs, were not expecting the gun to b made stronger, if your not going to drop the catalyst then let us masterwork the thing like every freaking legendary in the game... please :)
-
Let’s go Deathbringer! Get that catalyst my boy! Ask Bungie politely and you’ll have more purple glowy floating orbs!
-
um le monarque needs to be at the top or at least on the list
-
I don't even use Heir Apparent beside the 1 time I memed with it for that titan "tank" build back when it first came out.

8 AntwortenBearbeitet von AARPgamerwithJD: 3/18/2021 1:12:12 PMThere are some other exotics that you didn’t list that also don’t have catalysts: Jotunn Eyes of Tomorrow Cloudstrike Salvation’s Grip Lament One might argue that the final four are too new. But then again, Ticcu, Dead Man’s Tale, and Hawkmoon are just as recent and did get catalysts.
-
So, they think I will participate in there glorified bounty grind for a catalyst Depends on how good the catalyst is
