Since BL launched I've thought the red hue in the ice on Europa is interesting. Since launch, I just assumed it was bungie drawing inspiration from the Europa in real life, since it has strange red markings on its surface.
However with the launching of the presage mission I've noticed that the strange organic material scattered around the glykon has a similar hue. Also if you watch the flowers long enough, you'll see a pulse of red light run through them which resembles the red tinted ice on Europa.
Also if you stand on the edge of the ice shelves on Europa, you can hear screeching which sort of sounds similar to some of the noises at the beginning of of presage mission. This of course could just be the scorn and that is what I assumed until I watched Evades video discussing the possible connection between the black armory lore and the presage flora. In the black armory lore it describes creatures who smelled like wet earth and made metallic screeching sounds.
Thoughts???

I think that europa may be part of the dark dimension they were making references to

1 AntwortenIts also in the Drifters area of the Haul before a Gambit match starts.

1 AntwortenThere are patrols on Europa that have the Stranger confirm the red bands in the ice are due to sub-surface radiation, as they are in real life.

6 AntwortenBoth Europa and the glykon are things they've been working on for 10 plus years so it's possible they could be linked.

The red hue within the ice is based off of the real Europa. Mostly salts and other minerals like Magnesium Sulfate.

1 AntwortenThe flora is there because The Crown of Sorrow is powering the Glykon (Or Glykon powering it) and pretty much the whole ship its just a way for Calus to try and communicate with the Darkness which the Scorn are and the Unknown Guardian talks about how the Scorn have been changing whilst the Cabal experiment on them. Its a whole lot of lore in one mission so you just gotta read on it

4 Antworten<The plants don't make the metallic screeching, that's the Scorn moving about the ship.>

Real Europa is also just concept art.
