No.
Because these machines will become THE console market for this game in the next year or two.
And no one is going to deal with one game taking up half their storage space.

Just buy a external storage expansion, they’re not that much, and have like 5tb on them lmao. Problem solved

On Series X that’s 819GB of space that cost $200 US to expand and requires a proprietary SSD. The days of Bungie allowing this game to grow uncontrollably are over. The console market won’t tolerate it.

It's a bit disappointing that they have to restrict storage expansion to PCIe to avoid the headache of ignorant consumers trying to expand their storage using HDDs. SATA SSDs are cheaper per GB than NVMe (PCIe), and, in my opinion, aren't a significant downgrade when loading games. OS boot, yes, it would be, while fast boot/startup is a not an enabled feature. The proprietary requirement for Microsoft sucks, but it's a movement toward a subscription-based gaming model. I think they want to eventually phase Xbox Live Gold and Game Pass into a single subscription service rather than the current segregated model.

True. But they are the market.

If your a console gamer who plays alot of games. Its almost mandatory to have an external drive that you can transfer games to and from.

Call of Duty is taking the piss at this point, it's not even a viable argument for file size anymore.
Imagine compressing your files, lmao
Millions of people are willing to give up half their disk space for it lol Im on pc so file size doesnt matter much. But even on console people allow it.

Welp, rip console lmao

And RIP Destiny. Since it’s about 70-80 percent of the player base. ...and Bungie can’t make money off of the pc base alone. Careful what you wish for...

I wish for a good game

I think you simply wish to be a troll. So I’m going to stop feeding you.
