Devil's lair: haha, human bones go crunch crunch
so to explain the joke
I just played battlegrounds and got ending dialogue from crow and glint talking about how humanity views the fallen as animals. Complaining about how Shaxx jokes about killing them and Guardians use their bones as armor
If this is Bungie's attempt at making the player realize that "maybe I was the true monster aaaall along" then poor job folks
Especially since you established saint-14 has seen "DREGS, EATING CHILDREN!" And, as mentioned above, having the devil's lair literally BRIMMING with human bones.
Maybe show both sides of the conflict next time, instead of focusing on just one
5 AntwortenI mean honestly if you read the lore, it's hard to hate the Eliskni. Their world is destroyed because the traveler abandons them, then they find out it's in Sol and think we stole it, the only reason we ever entered a war with the Eliksni is all because of a misunderstanding, now we're stuck in a fight against them (for now) because at this point the war has been going on so long that new Eliksni are raised to hate humanity, though some are finally coming to understand.

All this talk of bones, I just got Young Ahamarak's Spine. An exotic gauntlet for my hunter. It's a glove with bones going down the one side. I find it cool! My hunter wears bones, now.

3 AntwortenI’m seriously starting to dislike Crow, he’s so whiny. He’s talking about a species who invaded Earth, ravaged what remained of our broken population, and now after years of getting their arses kicked refuse to leave/back down... and he wants to sit down and have a meal with them? What’s on the menu, Human baby? If he becomes hunter vanguard I’m rebelling

If they wanted to talk, they wouldn't have shot me.

7 AntwortenBearbeitet von Emurinus: 2/14/2021 3:16:36 AMI don't think he even knows about the Devil's Lair, or Twilight Gap, or Six Fronts. Actually, how much does he know?
-
1 AntwortenWe should just kill him now. Glint will have to die also since he has poor judgment and put all of us at risk...bye bye Glint.
-
As long as the Fallen keep shooting at us every time they see us, we'll joke about them all we want. No sympathy for those that try to kill us.
-
1 AntwortenI think Crow has a genuine point. Humans aren't fighting the fallen like they used to, hell the last city even has fallen allies. Mithrax, house of light, Variks. Its a bit messed up shaxx openly jokes about killing them and guardians wear their bones. Sure their are awful fallen like Eramis and the devils but their are also good ones.
-
2 AntwortenMaybe next season will be about house light, because this sounds like crow setting up fallen coming to the city
-
2 AntwortenI honestly don’t mind. Fallen legit eat babies, an eye for an eye, an eaten child for an eaten child. That Bi*** Randal kicked my butt too many times, I’m bringing the fight to his species.
-
9 AntwortenI don't think that's really the intent of the dialogue. I think it's more Crow is seeing Guardians from a different perspective and we get to hear that from him. Like. I think the only other perspective we got on us was Saladin back in RoI where we were told what guardians were like before guardians was a title. The fallen aren't all bad. Just as Guardians are not always paragons of justice and good. And the dialogue is just one way of showing this. Plus to be real Guardians are actually pretty monsterous. Even if the Fallen have done bad things we've basically gone on a genocide. Everytime they try to reform as one unified society we kick the door in and snuff out another house. Genocide is never justified. And that's what we exist to do as guardians under the guise of "good."

5 Antwortenas i always say: there are good and bad people on each side of the war also i am DYING for crow to meet drifter because that dialogue is gonna be HILARIOUS! can you imagine the reaction crow will have when he finds out drifter EATS fallen? oh no...
-
5 AntwortenFallen did nothing wrong, and the hatred toward them now has been a total witch hunt.
-
2 AntwortenStill waiting for him to ask me why is the city breathing down my neck
-
1 AntwortenMeanwhile... Drifter: have you consider drinking vex milk?
-
4 AntwortenThey do show both sides of each conflict. His dialogue/the forsaken campaign are the second side showing that maybe we aren’t just a champion but a walking genocide. The idea that the fallen are animals and do shit like eat babies has been established from vanilla D1.
-
Bearbeitet von Corrick II: 2/15/2021 9:15:51 AMThey tried the same thing with the Scorn. The whole Forsaken campaign we are confronted with the idea that we’re undead murderers and might be the villains, but then you stop and realize, no... the Scorn are straight-up killer zombie creatures that while they may have feelings they mostly use them to enjoy killing things. Sorry Bungie. Your attempts at introspection and subtlety in lore tabs might be well developed but in game they are about as nuanced as a sledgehammer. Stick to the basics.

Don’t care. Shit character. Could be far more interesting
-
4 AntwortenI don't trust anyone who is in two places at once. Psst. Bungo......you forgot to remove Crow from Spiders place.
-
2 AntwortenWe wear their bones?
-
He didnt know, tho. He bever left the shore. I know its a joke. But i like to rationalize things.
-
He said nothing about scorn though....🤔🤔
-
Meanwhile I'm standing in front of him wearing a Vandals skull as a helmet cause it lets me teleport
-
2 AntwortenI was saying to my buds the other day, if they are just setting Crow up to be one of those "Oh he was the Purest of us all, how could we have been so wrong!" cliche, BS characters... F crow. All my homies hate crow.

The bone piles leading up to Sepiks Prime in The Devil’s Lair strike (and the bones and cars outside the Cosmodrome wall where we were risen in D1/New Light)were from the Golden Age Collapse. From what I remember in a lore video, the bones were from people trying to get aboard that Exodus ship to escape from Earth when the Darkness/Pyramid Ships came to Earth. But that Exodus ship never launched because the pipelines to fuel the ship were destroyed probably by people who couldn’t get on the Exodus ship, from what I remember hearing in that video.

2 AntwortenI can sympathise with eliksni who want no part in a war with humanity. If some were coded not to attack us then I’d be the one to leave them alone. After all, we’re both on the brink of extinction. The only difference is we didn’t hop on over to their system and commit mass genocide cause the god-ball ditched us.
