I like the idea of selectable mods on exotics, and really appreciate that these exotics were fixed, as they were useless for so long. Appreciate how it was so substantially changed but still kept it’s unique team-play identity. Doesn't fix the game, but credit where credit is due.
Also, thanks for the upvotes! Glad to see something positive get a bit of attention, even if the game is somewhat suffering.

The change sounds good on paper, but I want to see the numbers.
-
3 AntwortenProbably gonna be only one of the decently good things to happen this season, still so much shit that needs to be fixed but isn’t being touched because bungie has better priorities apparently.
-
2 AntwortenNGL they are still dog poop.
-
1 AntwortenMaster worked a set already haha
-
2 AntwortenBearbeitet von Guardian, Archon Of Light: 2/7/2021 5:04:19 AMNGL people still wont use them!

1 AntwortenDon’t believe any hype. I’ll judge it when it’s live.
-
I'm looking forward to the stability buff. All those years of grinding for max stability weapons and perks is finally gonna pay off lol.

Yeah well unfortunately for u Taniks has no House. He kneels before no banner, owes allegiance to no Kell. He is a murderer, and very good at what he does. I have been tracking him since Wolves broke their chains, yes? Now Taniks works for Wolf pack. But not for long.

3 AntwortenA response for negative feedback on these and my feelings: My fire team is probably going to be running these a lot this season and in the future. Something doesn’t need to be easy to be fun and/or good. Look at Heart of Inmost Light as an example. A very powerful and fun exotic, and probably the most complex in the game to get working right. These Aeon exotics will be extremely unique based off of their team play mechanics. They should open up build options a good bit, too. You don’t need to use super energy to use a special ammo finisher? More supers! More ability uptime during hard content just by stunning supers? Not so much worry about stats! And uh the Sect of Vigor... oh! Being able to pop a Ward and save your allies from a distance? Niche, but sounds awesome! And none of these even require another team member to be wearing Aeon armor. There are already several exotics in the game that work best in team play. Some that really only work that way. But that is intended, same as these exotics! They just lean into it harder than any other exotic, which makes them very unique. Variety is good. Having only exotics meant to beef up yourself sounds boring. We have options to do that for solo play, and options to do team builds for team activities. Builds should change depending on what activity you are doing on depending on what play style you want to have. Personally I look forward to seeing how these work in Grandmaster Nightfalls this season while I hunt down an Adept Shadow Price (check bio, been that way ever since D2 dropped. Squealed when they announced it coming back.)

1 AntwortenYou are probably getting too hyped for what these will actually feel like to play with.

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von Ferus Lux: 2/6/2021 8:47:32 AMMight get hate for this but... They're not NEARLY as complex and meaningful as Bungie thinks. I really wish we'd move away from the power facade of "fast reloads, handling and ability energy." They don't really matter in higher level content and i wish we could start getting things like "+25% Auto Rifle Damage" or bonus damage for your next super and/or grenade. Ways to ACTUALLY build around certain weapon types and make them Endgame viable. This IS a looter shooter after all. This isnt Diablo or Path of Exile and builds rarely matter. All you need to beat everything is LFG friendship and the current meta Heavy Weapon. If you had 0 in all stats for the Raid or Master Lost Sectors it wouldn't matter. If you had the slowest reloads and handling it wouldnt matter. The heavy ammo support doesnt even matter because the ammo finder mods work well enough. Either make meaningful synergy with real game changing effects or just give ability augmenting Exotics like Bakris, Icefall Mantle and Necrotic Grips which I used to trivialize the ad spam in Prophecy and get my brother a full Moonfang set easily. These are Ecotics with powerful and more tangible effects that make the game more exciting.
-
They will still be underused for exotics that give more power to the individual player.. especially with solo players.

5 Antwortenu better hold on it sounds cool but trust me when i say this is bungie they can make anything sound cool till u get it then it’s trash

1 AntwortenLifeless Shell You make some valid points and I agree that ever verse should be removed from this game. But Whether we wanted it or not, we’ve stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars. So let’s get to taking out their command, one by one. Valus Ta’aurc. From what I can gather he commands the Siege Dancers from an Imperial Land Tank outside of Rubicon. He's well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on Freehold.

I’m interested in these changes quite a bit. It looks like the versatility opens new avenues to some interesting synergies and builds. Sect of Force, for example, would pair nicely with Outbreak Perfected. You’ll always be aiming for headshots with that weapon and, if anything survives, you’ll chop down on reload speed which keeps up the nanites and thus your damage output. Put a champion in your sights and now your team has some of their ability energy back, which could even include their super. Sect of Vigour would pair nicely with Vigilance Wing in PvP. Dead ally? Enjoy your healing, increased movement speed, and class ability energy. Teammates in a pickle? Cast your super to thin the enemy out and now your teammates are healed and ready to fight once again. Some of them might even be bolstered with a helpful overshield. This community is always so concerned with the meta and they’ll pass on anything that fails to rival it. Sad to see but ultimately inevitable. Nonetheless, Bungie has done a surprisingly decent job and I’m hoping they’ll focus on other underperforming exotics sooner rather than later.

47 AntwortenDisagree. From my point of view the problem wasn't the perks. Its that you had to have an entire fireteam commit to wearing the same exotics in order to derive the benefit. So, to me, the exotics are just as impractical as they were before.
-
i used em with some of my buddies when supernovas where busted, it was pretty funny
-
3 AntwortenYes, thanks for doing your jobs
-
3 AntwortenFor groups yes, as a solo player the rework made no difference
-
6 AntwortenI don't see any reason to replace the exotics I currently use.
-
1 AntwortenI really can’t think of a reason to take off my stompees or dunemarchers for this rework. The heavy perk seems useful in end game but other than that, I’m not taking my boots off.
-
9 AntwortenThey're still useless......... Against stompees / dunemarchers / transversives every other exotic is pretty much useless. I prefer my extra mobility. No changes to other exotics will make me change my mind.
-
6 AntwortenBearbeitet von Uncle Fester: 2/6/2021 3:27:38 AMThey are still worthless. I bet you never see players run these, even after the rework.
-
11 AntwortenThey will never be used. Promise.
-
Reminds me of the TWAB based CWL mods but beefed up.
-
I agree, was suprised by the news but in the end glad they finally improved something for once.
