Trials of Osiris. Something that gets played by like 10,000 players and is the most flawed, broken, and exploited mode ever. Waste of game development.

But how else will the account recovery industry thrive without new shiny things?
-
No one is forcing you to get the armor.
-
pretty weird that Bungie still focuses so hard on "endgame" gear when the bulk of the player base never experiences the modes at all.
-
1 thing I noticed was that "Bull" Armour....I think it's probably a Flawless cosmetic.
-
6 AntwortenIt’s what the streamers wanted, and what they want they get. Have you noticed how raid exotics dropped for all streamers basically after a few weeks and for the rest of us it hardly ever drops, coincidence?
-
5 AntwortenThe armor set has gone from bragging rights to be straight suspicious

So the strimmers and cheaters can feel special.

10 AntwortenA lot more than 10k play it, but I get your point. Most of the issues with trials are not truly issues with trials the gamemode. For example, the terrible meta we have right now, along with stasis. Or an even better example, the garbage matchmaking that just doesn't work. I have seen a full team of 300+ flawlesses, 2 of which have 10+ winstreaks, one having a 1 loss streak, on the 1st game of a blank card. Bungie just needs to fix the damn matchmaking for once and it'll be fine. Oh, and remove stasis. And maybe chaos reach.

It doesn’t affect you does it? If you dont play it who cares the people who do will want the armor Imagine speaking for some people when you dont even do what they do I know you haven’t done trials because you said your a solo player before
-
1 AntwortenIt's a desperate attempt to make us play it again without actually doing anything to make the gamemode fun again and it won't work.
-
-
Well they aren't making more PvP maps or pinnacles, and they just added adepts.I think it's the smallest "something" they could do for the PvP community to make them feel like they weren't completely left out for a season.

I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s less than that.. jyst recovery after recovery on twitch inflating numbers

Waste of game development.
Short answer? The game mode used to be good viral advertising, and helped the game to keep a good profile on Twitch. Longer asnwer? Good question. Because Trials is slowly turning into one part Money Pit, one part Quagmire for Bungie. The Elephant in the Living Room being, "Does the game mode generate enough revenue for Bungie to warrant the resources (development and LEGAL) that Bungie is having to expend to prop it up?'

Cause Bungie wants to keep up the fascade that pvp is something they care about. When current actions and investments elsewhere with the game kind of show the opposite. Frankly if Destiny is still going after light fall I wouldn't be surprised if pvp didn't get its own separate f2p experience where a whole team can work on making a balanced and competitive environment whilst letting the main Destiny IP fully commit to an rpg. As much as the gunplay can feel nice it doesn't seem possible for Bungie to strike a balance where design creativity can roam free when they have to always worry about pvp implications.

5 AntwortenSadly, the armor looks badass, so I will turn myself into cannon fodder next season. I figure there will probably be more like me, and it has to be a part of Bungie's plan to pull more players in. I may not be the best, or win consistently, but I can get that bounty every week, and I just want the set for transmog. I will wait for all the pieces to become the 3 win reward and go get them I think. It's a pretty lame way to pull people into Trials, but here we are, and sadly, I want that armor.

What’s sad is it will more than likely be the only new armor besides the seasonal set Iron Banner needs new armor in the worst way,and it’s played a much larger percentage of the community I don’t care if it’s a D1 Armor set,it would be welcomed

1 AntwortenIs it really a waste of game development if there is no development?
-
7 AntwortenBecause no level of fixes they apply to it, no level of changes to maps, weapons, abilities, etc., and no level of anticheat will be able to bring the mode back to life if there's no loot incentive behind it.
-
Considering the sets were designed a million years ago, not much dev time wasted.
-
But that clearly isn't the intention for the mode. The intention is a prestige pvp mode, and whilst it isn't quite worknig as intended currently, I am also fairly certain that's not something that Bungie wants either. But if they fix it and there are no wothwhile rewards, then there would have been no point fixing it, or having it at all, which is worse than providing fresh rewards, IMO.

Your kidding right?
