The issue came back for me after the latest patch (used to have it back in forsaken and it was addressed by a patch or hotfix on bungie's part). The game plays completely smooth for about an hr or 2 and then, like clockwork, the bug kicks in and it starts hitching. Restarting the game completely fixes the issue until it starts happening again an hr or 2 in a session. I've tried any hotfix under the sun but haven't found a solution so far, aside from restarting the game every couple of hrs. Things i've tried so far include: - Running ISLC (intelligent standby list cleaner) in the back with the correct values for my pc as suggested by the creator of the program. - Disabling fullscreen optimizations - Change high dpi settings -> Checking "Use this setting to fix..." and "Override high dpi scaling behavior" - Disabling/ Enabling Nvidia reflex/ reflex with GPU boost in the cvars.xml - Deleting the cvars.xml altogether - Disabling shader cache in the Nvidia control panel settings. - Deleting the NVCache folder and reinstalling drivers with the "Perform a clean installation" option on. - Disabling hardware acceleration in any program that i use while playing D2 (edge chromium, discord, steam). - Playing d2 with only steam running in the back and steam being in low resource mode (steam web browser disabled, friends offline, etc) via the no-browser, minigamelist launch options. - Changing windows sound quality to CD sound. - Disabling all overclocks - Running QuickCPU in the back - Probably a couple more tweaks that escape me atm. Specs: i7 3770k @ 4.5 Ghz 8 GB ram DDR3 @ 2133 Mhz Nvidia Geforce 1660 Super Latest windows 10 x64 build as of 25/01/2021 Latest firmware/ bios updates/ drivers (Nvidia driver 461.09). I'm hoping someone comes up with a fix but i'm not holding my breath since this bug has been going on for years now (just search for Destiny 2 hitching over time) with no concrete solution. IF a mod or Bungie employee is reading this please, i beg you, pass this to the code/ engine team so they can take a look.
