4 AntwortenBearbeitet von CordovaLark: 1/14/2021 11:08:49 PMThis TWAB shows that you guys actually had nothing planned POST sunsetting. You essentially made D2 a game with only 2 planets. Nessus, and Europa. The rest just drop capped, and sunset gear. The fact that you are having to bring back items (less than 3 months after sunset dropped), and make players reacquire them which is -blam!- you to all players, just so it appears that the Dreaming City, and The Moon are actually worth visiting for a short time.
-
Ok umm... does this mean those other projects you guys are working on will be of this quality or better? 'Cause judging from how you lot are already re-issuing gear that ain't old is a bad sign of being out of ideas or innovation to further develop content.

4 AntwortenI know the big topic of the week is the reissues. But on a much better note, the crucible rank up reward system sounds like a BIG step forward (as long as we still get powerful rewards from Valor and glory rank ups as well). Huge win. The ascendant shard should be available each reset though- with sunsetting, masterworking needs to be waaaay easier. But still overall, massive step forward.

I just want Permanent Passes now. I want to be able to log on to D2 and choose from any purchased pass I have from the collection tab and pay OR play to dump XP into that to rank up and earn missed rewards. ———-———-———-———-———-———-———-— At this point I would much rather have 3-6 player Variable Side-Missions than farming the same tedious Bounties. MOVING all Bounties to the Director and replacing them with Side-Missions at each Vendor available 1 Side-Mission per Tier... Tiers to these Side-Missions each applying superior amounts of XP, reward/gear/materials at the end making them much more preferable than completing mere bounties with small returns. These Side-Missions could involve Puzzle Solving, discovering Ancient Relics, a whole damn side mission is just a mere cutscene revolving around the grimoire/lore of the current season, or a hint into the Future/to the Past. Making the Menagerie/Black Armory/Enchanted Table/Wishing Wall/Clovis Lab an opportunity to become One enormous Area just for CRAFTING anything your character could use as gear. Modifying any current gear/shaders/textures... (Hell even Craft your very own Exotic with the proper materials which planets generously provide us with) I can dream about this concept, only for it to be burned and buried. Oh well.

Good start but can we get some rewards from glory ranks?

1 AntwortenAny weapon that is reissued , the old rolls of that weapon should be grandfathered in. Fix the loot system by adding new weapons. No re-skins no re issues. Balance scout rifles , consilidate 180 and 150 scouts. Keeping the 180 rof but the 150 damage. Balance less utilized pulses, consolidate light weight frame and adaptive frame pulses. Keeping the intrinsic perk of light weight frames, the rof of light weight frames but the damage of the adaptive frames. Perks from pinnacle and ritual weapons need to be in the perk pool, depending on weapon type. Obviously some tweaking would need to be done.

Blasphemer! Can t wait to get one of those to europa and beyond. Thank you Bungie!
-
season of the hu t just turned into Season of Turning in Tokens for garbage rewards because bungo sucks at meaningful content. Cant we invest pur current stocks of tokens into something?? You guys suck at creativity.

5 AntwortenI’m completely onboard with sunsetting as opposed to a bunch of whiny armchair developers.

Bearbeitet von ~NaVy_$eAl~187: 1/16/2021 7:38:32 PMAfter being suspended off these forums for a month and returning to see pretty much the same complaints on top wack @$5 loot. But more importantly, it's actually quite tragic. 236D 18H and 11m put into this game. D2 you will be missed, hopefully you get your $h!"||" together next DLC. Untill then EpiX out! 🤧

I logged in last week for the first time in a while and visited the Cosmodrome. It was exactly as I remembered it from D1, except without all the good stuff, like strikes, weapons, intrigue, interest, etc. Bungie is pathetic and lazy. Glad I didn’t buy the new expansion. Not much point in paying you money to take away the things that I would be buying. Again.

Who evers idea was to sunset needs to be fired. Players did not ask for it. Was it those pesky streamers who did???
-
What a joke
-
No more weekly bounties?? So then no more bright dust??

Here dudes, I’ll give y’all my math for when vanguard tokens are being taken out. Rather than crapping all over your community’s time investments that it took to acquire all of the tokens. Turned in 10,000 crucible tokens and got 1000 legendary shards + 20 enhancement cores.

3 AntwortenGood to know you aren't doing anything with the EDZ, Cosmodrome, or Nessus.

Bearbeitet von CookieNiki: 1/17/2021 2:59:21 PMBeen away from this game since the day Cyberpunk launched. That's 38 straight days as of today, the most extensive period I've been without playing Destiny since 2014. And coming back here to check out the first TWAB of the year only made me reinforce why I, a veteran Destiny player that sunk thousands of hours in this franchise, bought every single content release this game had (exception to BL as it's available through Game Pass), haven't felt the slightest urge (and still don't) of returning to play this game. I read the TWAB and what I see wrong? Reissues of old sunset weapons (aka "grind-for-the-same-weapons-again-'cause-we-can't-be-bothered-to-make-new-ones") and vendors with their own mini season passes hamster wheels to make people grind their asses off for TWO Enhancement Prisms and ONE Ascendant Shard (the only minimal worthy rewards, imo). There's a ton of problems with this. The weapon reissues This completely invalidates all the marketing Bungie threw at players about how good sunsetting would be because we would be earning brand new, powerful, loot that would make us "forget" the one we were ripped off. Bottom line? Everything that happened since then proves that all that marketing was nothing but a pile of lies. You promised a lot in this matter but you delivered nothing. It was all wishful thinking. You remove our god rolled weapons and 2 months later you say "hey, go grind for those weapons again!". Unacceptable! Will never happen, in what concerns me. Changes to ritual vendors While the announced changes may be appreciated by some players (I do think the rewards shown are pitiful), they don't address the elephant in the room: the fact that players still need to keep playing the same dead boring unchanged core activities that they've been playing for years. The announced changes also maintain the game dependency in bounties, something that was promised would be alleviated with Beyond Light but it wasn't, as matter of fact it was the opposite. But even giving this new vendor approach the benefit of doubt, why change only ritual vendors? Why not extend that philosophy to other NPC's, like Devrim Kay, Failsafe, Eris Morn, Banshee, Amanda Holliday, Ikora Ray, Suraya, and so on. Why? The positive The only (eventual) positive thing in all TWAB is the addition of two new unique weapon rewards to each of the three playlist rituals, but only in the assumption that they won't be just reskins of old weapons and that they'll drop with good rolls. But even so I must ask: why always focus the new rewards in strikes, gambit and crucible? Why insist in that, when it's widely known that way too many players are saturated of playing those unchanged activities? Why not let players be able to also earn meaningful rewards by playing the game outside the ritual core activities? Why the obsession of always strangle players agency and meaningful rewards sources in the game? One more thing There's also one major thing I must say because, in my opinion, you at Bungie haven't grasped it yet, which is a shame considering this franchise has over 6 years: New loot is NOT new content! New content is new locations, new strikes, new PVE missions, new quests, new public events, new lost sectors, new PvP maps and modes, new endgame activities, new bounties, new gambit maps, new secrets, etc. New loot is the reward for new content. New loot thrown into years old activities won't make the game feel fresh and appealing. I would rather grind a new activity/quest/mission for some old exotic than grind old activities for a brand new exotic, period. It goes without saying that increasing the difficult of old activities and/or bringing back old locations isn't new content also. Conclusion My advice is that if you at Bungie want to have players coming back often and craving to play your game, (I suspect you've been losing even more players since BL launch), you MUST invest in truly new content with adequate rewards. Stop reissuing old stuff as new content, stop releasing new rewards for worn out activities and stop focusing the game in only a handful of activities. Invest in quality over quantity and never remove content from the game if you haven't already something new to replace it (sunsetting is the real proof you don't go by this principle). Work towards keeping the game feeling fresh and it's content dynamic and probably you'll see your player base increase and players more positive about your franchise. That's all. Now, back to my other games playlist.

Hey dmg, maybe in season 14 you guys can bring twilight oath back. Oh wait you already planned that.
-
Your game is flat out garbage The people running this game is flat out garbage Isn't it time for a management change by now? Lets get some new blood in those positions that are not arrogant A-Holes that think they know what their doing.
-
You're crazy if you think I'm going to regrind these "reissued" loot. I'm so glad I just got my PS5 yesterday and I'll be playing Assassin's Creed Valhalla. Bungie is so out of touch with the community.
-
Yeah I’m not doing ascendant challenges for armor and weapons I already have. I’ve paid my dues in the dreaming city. I could care less about the new weapon perks. Un-sunset my old gear from the moon and DC.
