Sunsetting then having to immediately reissue just shows that maybe you should NOT have sunsetted it in the first place. What is the point?
You sunsetted all the Dreaming City armor and weapons but Last Wish is still relevant. Everything else was made obsolete.
You gave us unique armor that can be made "Taken" with a tincture of queensfoil and then you sunsetted it.
Blind Well: sunsetted loot
Shattered Throne: sunsetted loot
Ascendant challenges: sunsetted loot
Dark Monastery, Broken Courier, Oracle Engine missions: sunsetted loot
You sunsetted the moon armor and weapons but Garden of Salvation is still relevant. Everything else was made obsolete.
Pit of Heresy: sunsetted loot
Alters of Sorrow: sunsetted loot
Nightmare hunts: sunsetted loot
Eris missions: sunsetted loot
How could you ever justify making activities obsolete because everything is sunsetted in the first place? People are still paying to get access to this content
ffs. Sunsetting is a disaster and should be abandoned.
Abort mission, its a failure.
Some of you are misinterpreting my post so I edited to clarify.
Getting reissues is not the problem, its the fact that they have to reissue right after they sunsetted because they are making content and locations obsolete when they do... which makes sunsetting them pointless and redundant.

3 AntwortenI've said it before and I'll say it again. Destiny is a game that is so in line with what gamers want to play, being managed by a company that is so out of touch with gamers. If this company cared about this game as much as they cared about political issues they'd have a half-assed game. The neckbeard in charge over there is so blatantly shafting the entire community to make his "wonder land" and drive shallow profits for the company at the expense of its reputation and playability. All we're gonna get is another obligatory "we're listening" post followed by more changes that display that they in fact are not listening AT ALL. I've never seen someone -blam!- up this much at their job and still get to keep it. I'm 1 minute late to work and I get written up, this dude ruins an entire franchise, and the reputation of his employer then just sits there as the king of actual garbage. You wanna know how to make your game playable? Listen to your community, weigh the options, make polls, do ANYTHING but implement your half baked wonder land ideas without any regard for the player, ffs.

1 AntwortenSunsetting is what low IQ people would come up with. It wasn't a bold move but a stupid one at that. Why sunset, if your going to keep bringing back re-issued weapons and armor. Who wants to grind for a Gnawing hunger for a 3rd time? 1060 1360 [REDACTED] The player base is slowly sunsetting and I don't blame them. Why bother playing a videogame called Destiny when you got dictators taking away your favorite weapons and armor. Sunsetting is a joke for a game that has no loot and power creep. Must of your drops are trash blues.

6 AntwortenReissuing old gear has been their plan since sunset was announced.

Bungie has no real clear direction with Destiny anymore. Like I’ve said for months, all the good talent at Bungie has either left them or has no more involvement with Destiny currently.

1 AntwortenJust noticed on DestinyTracker that stats aren’t updating. Coincidence that it’s at 725K when it stopped (a 2 week low)? 🧐 https://destinytracker.com/

4 AntwortenDon’t worry they have new perks! That’s what a fanboy would say when defending it

18 AntwortenFacts. It’s this kind of stuff that makes me wonder what on earth goes through the higher ups at Bungie’s heads.

1 AntwortenI think Sunsetting is hilarious. Like...do you not want me to play your game and spend money on it? Feel like Sisyphus; finally get my rolls, get my Masterwork...OOPS! Sunsetted; start back at Square 1. It's even more funny because ESO doesn't "sunset" their loot. I left that game for FIVE YEARS, and came back to 'current gear'; no new "Light Levels" (WoW calls it "item level"), no under-powered gear. All I had to do was pick up where I left off. ((They're 'gear grind' is making wacky sets (think Exotics, but effects are split among like 5 pieces).)) "You had to be there"...pssh, man, piss off.

5 AntwortenThe Bungie way is to: 1. Kill the past. Make everything players have done up to this point as meaningless as possible. (just look at the LL grind and how easy it is to make the old hard cap the following season or what they're doing with playlist vendor tokens, add to your shard collection or just let them rot) 2. Make the past the present. It was just weapons and armor, but now Bungie has opened that up to locations and raids as well. Plus there's Sunsetting (sometimes literally bringing something back as useable again the very next season) 3. Paint a bright future, but don't promise much of anything tangible that you can be held accountable to and rarely deliver what people expected. We've been looking forward to the awesome game the Destiny franchise is going to become for half a decade now. Other than some QoL adjustments, is it better? In many areas we actually have less than we did in D1. Did they really fix Trials after pulling it and saying they weren't bringing it back until they had it right? How did that strike specific loot turn out? Under the current Bungie plan, I can quit for a year and come back and miss what a few titles? Even the "you had to be there" exotics are going to end up in the kiosk. There is nothing I'm doing now that I feel will matter in a year. So what's the point? Fun! Well that's the problem, playing a game that leverages so much off of an incredibly stale core playlist system isn't fun.

47 AntwortenI seen a post a couple weeks ago that had hundreds of upvotes that read “Make moon and DC loot relevant.” Now everyone is crying that they listened to that feedback. You guys don’t know what you want. 🤦♂️ That loot is becoming relevant again on top of the new seasonal armor and guns. You don’t have to re-grind for it if you don’t want to.
-
3 AntwortenIt's technically a good thing they are bringing back DC/Moon loot, so that people who PAID for that content (especially new players who didn't play it originally) have some meaningful loot to earn from those destinations. HOWEVER! 4 weapons each is not good enough, it should have been the full set for both destinations. It also should have been a universal cap increase, so people who already played that content and had god rolls still in their vault could dust them off and use them again. If you already sharded your god rolls from the moon or dreaming city, aim your hate and anger towards Bungie because it's totally their fault for manufacturing such a terrible situation. This content should never have been sunset, Bungie failed completely by not having any nuance with sunsetting and just lazily swung the hammer down on everything instead of certain items. Of course, sunsetting should NEVER have happened AT ALL on any gear in the first place, in my opinion.
-
4 AntwortenLooks to me like they’re trying to appease the masses crying about sunsetting. Looks like “they’re listening”. I’ve actually enjoyed the changes cause it’s forcing me to use different weapons that I normally would avoid.🤷♀️

2 AntwortenThey realized their mistake in sun setting armor and weapons from currently active planets. They announced their other mistake by telling the community that they're hiring lots of weapon designers and soon will have lots of weapons to chase. Give them a break, they did deliver a fantastic new area to play in and the raid that we've all been asking for.
-
this was bungie's plan all along. sunset gear so that instead of having to create new gear with new design models all they have to do is reissue gear that was previously sunset and give them new random rolls. and every now and then make some ritual weapons that will surly be reskins with a unique perk (most of which will probably be underwhelming perks) wouldn't be surprised if the gambit rituals will be a trust or bygones with some special perk added.
-
[angry mob noise intensifies] I dunno Bungie, I don't think ignoring this particular issue is going to work out in your favor. People are getting tired of the game's direction and lack of content in general. I think this reminds them of all of that and acts as a lightning rod for their frustrations.
-
27 AntwortenRe-issues are an intentional part of sunsetting. Seriously how stupid is this community?
-
9 AntwortenI’m only going for my conqueror title this season and playing other games right now. I remember putting my point across to another very vocal poster here about how he would eat his words when they fell back and introduced the same guns back into the game. Ow, Where for art thou “kellyGreen.”
-
10 AntwortenPeople need to just get over it.
-
4 AntwortenThis is exactly what I figured would happen. I’m fine with it. Chasing the new rolls will give me reason to play the other Dungeons. And let’s be honest, most of you all knew they were going to reissue the weapons. Stop acting so surprised and upset. At a certain point I think some of you just like to feel disgruntled.
