Not really, both cause elemental explosion on precision kills. The only difference in firefly deals slightly more damage, however dragonfly + dragonfly spec deals the same damage plus has a larger blast radius. Also firefly is locked to solar damage.

Firefly also has Outlaw included in it

The perk wasn’t supposed to be on the weapon and so it was removed. If you want a firefly kinetic weapon, you’ll have to wait until season 14.

I've got it on my coldfront and it works fine. The only bug is maybe 10% of the time the perk doesn't trigger, but those are much better odds than any of the other bugged perks like black talons catalyst which works 0% of the time.

Again, it wasn’t meant to be on it and so it’s going to be removed. A proper firefly will be on a certain handcannon in season 14. Unlike the special version on ace, it will likely be the D1 version where explosions dealt kinetic damage.

It does most of the time though. From the way your talking, I'm going to guess you dont actually have a dragonfly cold front and your just talking from 3rd hand hear say. The perk works well as is and it would make more sense for bungie to fix these minor issues later or just change it to firefly. Honestly bungie is probably only acting this way because dawning is a free to play event and they dont want free to play gear to be sought after. They would be better off using the resources they have on fixing actual game breaking bugs like the new story mission which most people cant even complete due to bugs.

Bearbeitet von Tortilla the Hun: 1/7/2021 5:01:42 AMI have the dragonfly cold front and it does not work. At all. I've even slowed down my shooting to perfectly get headshots in pve and absolutely nothing was different than getting a normal headshot. My guess is you looked really close at the death animations and said "Oh, that one was a little bit bigger than the other, so it works!" So Ima call BS on you unless you show video proof of firefly actually working on your cold front. We want to see the explosion doing damage to other ads, since that's how firefly is supposed to work. This is your moment to show all the haters you aren't just lying to everyone and the perk actually works.

It rarely ever shows the explosion or sound effect. You would have to be brain dead to think that’s it’s supposed to be on it. It’s because it wasn’t meant to be there that it’s getting removed. There will be firefly on fatebringer in season 14. Dragonfly and firefly function differently. The bug with the mission is being fixed too... bugs get fixed, coldfront included.

Of course it's not supposed to be there, but it's not like it crashes the game and its really only useful in pve so it's not like it ruins the game for anyone. The perk works perfectly fine besides the visual and audio aspect which dont always work. You also have to consider that the gun is no longer obtainable and it only had a 2-4% chance of actually getting one, so only a small amount of the community has it. Now can you 100% say that you would rather bungie spend the time and effort fixed this when there are more pressing matter like black talons catalyst not working or not being able to infuse some vaulted items? Cause I would definitely prefer bungie to fix these issues before something so minor that most of the community enjoys. There is a reason I have so many up votes and positive comments
