uh oh it’s me back again to annoy the lore section!
i recently read through some awoken lore, but i’m still a little confused on how the awoken actually BECAME the awoken. apparently mara floated off this space ship and saw something out in space? and she wanted to be “the first”? and uldren, then called uldwyn, as always went chasing after her. but what exactly happened? was there some sort of radioactive explosion or something that changed them? i’m still a bit confused.
also, these probably can’t really be answered, but...
do you think shiro-4 is gonna make a comeback? do think we’ll see him return?
also shin malphur? are we ever gonna have that showdown with him and drifter? i’m still hanging on to my malfeasance waiting for the day...
and last but not least...
ever since finishing up beyond light i’ve been wondering... during the season of arrivals it was revealed that the darkness was disappointed in savathun for keeping the guardians from communicating with the darkness. but in beyond light, when we do those patrols and keep the fallen away from the little pyramids, aren’t we essentially doing the same thing?
is the darkness gonna be upset with us for keeping them from gaining stasis/communicating with the dark?
thanks in advance if you reply! :)

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von Tommy MFJ: 1/11/2021 11:25:39 AM1. The awoken were created when the light and dark clashed. It created a pocket dimension called the distributary. The lines you mentioned is to do with Mara and a number of her people leaving the distributary into our solar system. 2. I hope so, Shiro-4 was a pretty cool character that never had the chance to be fully fleshed out. There was a mention of him on one of the deep stone crypt armour pieces I believe but there hasn't been a lot mentioning him. 3. We learned that Shin Malphur believes in harnessing the darkness and walking the grey line between light and dark. That's why he created the shadows of yor, so he can urge people into harnessing the dark but killing off those who fall to its temptation, like dredgen yor once did. Drifter is walking that line, just like we are. In fact, gambit helps shin find out those who fall to temptation. So, unless drifter falls to the darkness' call, shin won't go to kill him. However, now stasis is here, I wouldn't be surprised if Shin starts showing up more as there may be more guardians falling to temptation. Expect him to show in the post-witch queen seasons once hive soulfire becomes a subclass as that's what dredgen yor dabbled with. 4. The Darkness is actively trying to disprove the Traveller's final argument. To do that, it would need to win us over which is why they haven't shown up and slaughtered everyone like they did in the collapse. Savathûn interfered with the Pyramids messages to us as her plans could be ruined if we utilise stasis, which we did anyway. As Savathûn is screwing over the Darkness' sole purpose of being here, they wish to punish her accordingly. 5. The Darkness is giving out stasis to incite conflict as that's its basic principle: survival of the fittest. That's partly why we were ushered to Europa to receive stasis even though we could've received it from any pyramid which we know is the case because Eris first received stasis in Shadowkeep within the Lunar one. The darkness wouldn't be mad at us for Eradicating Eramis and her dark army as that's what it believes in.

They were caught in the darkness, when the Traveler attacked it, the power involved caused a black hole to form which they fell into. Inside the black hole they did not have physical bodies, eventually Kara created the laws the the former a universe inside of it then another Awoken gave them the physical forms that you see them with now. They only became a little bit magic after the left the universe inside the black hole which is called the Distributary and emerged into our universe.

1 AntwortenI dunno. Probably some kinda space magic bullshit. Space magic bullshit is the answer to all questions.

That's 10 questions.

4 AntwortenWe don't know. Something about the Darkness invading the system caused some calamity that suspended them somewhere and now they're smurfs.

They were caught slap bang in the middle between the darkness and the traveller slapping each other with their energy and got infused with both. It wasnt so much she wanted to be the first she was the first. Mynameisbyf is a good YouTuber for destiny lore and he has like a 4hour+ vid giving all the lore up until the release of shadowkeep i think. Then he has some smaller videos of after that and of lots of other videos to do with the drifter and shizzle like that

Mara (along with the clashing forces of Light and Darkness) creates the singularity which the Awoken go through and reach the distributary. There’s a lot more to it that this but that’s the simple version. Shiro is alive so it’s possible. No because they’re on the same side. Shin isn’t this golden boy character. He acknowledges that we should walk a Grey line and that we should use the darkness for good. That’s different. The Eliksni House of Salvation aren’t using the Darkness to further the Darkness. They’re using it to further their own power. They seek to use it like the my do most other sources of power, brute force it and use it in some way other than its initial purpose. Also the Darkness would see it as an extension of a trial of sorts. We kill the Fallen. We are worthy of living.

1 AntwortenWhen the Crew of the Exodus Green came in contact with the Darkness, they said that they were not with the Traveler. The Darkness spared Mara and her crew by sending them into the Distributary (An Area outside of Time) So no. We are not doing the Same thing to the Fallen as Savaithun did to us. As Eramis already "Spoke" to the Pyrimid.
