"A Guardian Rises" quest stuck, cannot progress
I just started playing the game today, and I've been playing the introductory quests all the way up to when you first get to the tower. The quest tells me to "Travel to the Tower in the Last City. Speak with Amanda Holliday". When I go to speak to Amanda, nothing happens. The quest does not progress. The only thing I can do with Amanda is buy vehicles/ships from her (I bought one of each just to see if that did anything, it did not.) I've tried restarting the game, my xbox etc but nothing. I'm just stuck and unable to progress the quest. Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug? It seems to be bugged.

Still an active bug. It's not a matter of correct instance. I launch the mission from Quest Log>Details>"Launch" button. So it should be taking me to that instance. It takes me directly to the Hangar, the quest advances and tells me talk to Amanda, Amanda Holliday is where she used to be/should be. When you talk to her there is no options, just an empty vendor section. I've restarted the game, Checked files, all that good stuff. If I missed something let me know but this seems like a genuine game breaking bug that's been around for at least 4 years now.

1 AntwortenWhen you look at tower on destination, there is a blue symbol called "Advent" center top. Click on that and it creates a proper instance for the newcomer mission. PC

1 AntwortenI just realized why that seems like a bug!!! <<< as in I just picked up the game again and had the same trouble of NPCs acting as if I never existed when talking to them.... My problem was that I was in the wrong version of the tower >.< When you go to orbit there's a different launch spot for the quest called "The Advent" if you go through there to your quest, then everyone talks to you accordingly. If you just teleport to the tower they treat you as if you have already finished what you needed to and talking to them won't progress your quest there ^_^ I feel like this should've been a thing posted long ago because I legit just spent 2 days running around not being able to tell why the hell I can't progress my game and if it's a bug when it turns out I just went to the wrong version of the place >.<

1 AntwortenHi, I'm having the same issue, I logged out when I initially landed in the tower, when I came back the marker was also gone so needed to look for her manually, after a long search this bug happened and can't progress the story line. welcome back :P

Had the same problem. Simple restart of mission helped me. Just go to the orbet and start over. (PC, though)
