Stasis is absolute cancer
I cant even express into words how frustrating playing against stasis is especially in trials. I dont even take pvp seriously and it just absolutely irritates me. I just want to have fun. I cant count the amount of times I’m shooting someone about to kill them and i’m frozen or slowed for 2 - 4 seconds, 4 SECONDS for gods sakes or some stupid hunter just throws a glacier grenade when he’s a pixel and slams down. I cant even get away in time because that piece of crap kills in 7 metres
Why am i being punished for hitting my shots?, just trying to play better? or just trying to have fun?
I really just don’t understand who runs bungie or if they even play test these things. It just blows my mind how incompetent these decisions are

6 AntwortenIf you get glacier slammed then you got too close. 7 meters is not a lot of range. Stasis biggest weakness is people who play at range.

Its not even hard to avoid, I manage all the time even when it first released. They give you a visual cue and audio cue that its gonna happen. I'm so sick of people complaining that its so difficult to work around

If you want a combat sim this isn’t the game for that.

14 AntwortenSome one needs to keep practicing against Stasis. It's really not that hard to counter, it just sounds like you keep getting baited by the same move over and over again. Maybe the games you are losing isn't because of stasis, maybe they are just better players. Your just using stasis as the scapegoat cause it's the hot thing to complain about right now. Still to my original point, learn to play the distance game with Stasis.

Learning how to deal with abilities is part of the skill of playing this game well. You aren't being punished for hitting your shots. You're being punished for wanting to ignore half the game. ..and this thread is why I feel that returning Trials to the game was one of the worst mistakes Bungie has made. EVERY time Trials is part of the game there is this ENDLESS cry to nerf everything in sight....and this massive power drain from the PVE side of the game. If you want a gun game? Halo 5 will be happy to have you. This game will always be a mix of gun skill and build-strength, until the day (if ever) Bungie seperates the sandboxes.

A friend of mine had this idea about saint-14 being against the use of darkness, meaning you couldn’t use stasis in trials. I think that would be a good idea. Stasis should still be in normal pvp imo, but it’s annoying in trials.

If anything, stasis has gove the game more versatility. For example most people didnt bother with movement and they think the duskfield grenade is op, well bid if you had more movement you could escape it

I love how quickly the community flipped when Trials came. People who saw Stasis for what it was when it first came out got crapped on and downvoted. Look, I'm glad people are coming around I'm just saying that maybe some of you people who changed your opinion should take it a little easier on people who you don't agree with. The waaaaah! culture around here is pretty sad these days and quite a few of you who were saying that a month ago are singing a different tune now.

They also need to remove that stupid animation your character does after breaking out. That's easily another 1 or 2 seconds of not being able to do anything

5 AntwortenI genuinely enjoy what stasis has done to the crucible, it feels fresh and exciting to fight against crazy ass ice walls and shit, I don't even feel frustrated at getting frozen either because I expect it One thing ive noticed with stasis however is its extremely ineffective at long ranges in pvp, maybe your just trying the usual "bum rush with shotty" tactic? because stasis loves to punish that

13 AntwortenFunny anyone speaks of hunters op shatter dive and everyone says nah its fine bruh git gud....yet just a little while ago another grenade ability was said to be op although used by the small 10% warlock class called hand held super nova. Go figure bungie nerfed it and the super into the fuking dirt destroying the entire spec. Now we are seeing identical if not more op in shatter dive except now its the 60% hunters....wont hear anyone say nerf it or will it ever be done for fear of making youtubers cry.
