Sidearms are still far more close range than anything other than maybe SMGs. You’ll easily outrange them with most options. The whole point of sidearms is that they’re strong up close.

they reach mid ranges around 15-20 meters a lot of the time. And like you said. Maps don’t have long ranges. There’s a few maps tops that have lanes to counter sidearms.
