4 AntwortenOoohhh... not a good idea to implement crossplay, particularly since this game has PvP and cheaters are running rampant like the plague. Also what's with this whole "We'll do better next time" and "We're learning from our mistakes" speech? You seem to do that after every expansion and repeat or even do worse mistakes every time. You'd think after six years of experience you'd at least have a grasp on the structure of the game that will please the majority of your customers.

Bearbeitet von IXWyattXI: 12/9/2020 11:40:21 PMThis post did not give me any hope for Destiny's future. None at all. You didn't tackle the core issues at all. Those issues being.. The same boring grind that just uses old content. The fact that you made two paid dlcs and their activities fruitless. The issues with the strike playlist and how monotonous it currently is. How badly you messed up pvp. And how lackluster your rewards have been. Forsaken was the last good thing y'all did, and even knowing that I wouldn't see a dlc as good as that again, I still trusted you and bought Beyond Light. I was a fool for doing so, but I wanted to believe in the company that got me into online gaming in the first place with their masterpiece, Halo 2. Unfortunately, those glory days are gone. You recovered them with Age of Triumph during Destiny 1, but somewhere in the development of D2 you forgot them, along with your morality, and became so... Greedy. I doubt your next few seasons will help rebuild the trust you lost, and I've already decided that Witch Queen won't be getting bought. I've given your company enough, and gotten nothing for it. Hell, I lost all the good stuff I worked so hard for because of sunsetting. Which is funny, since if you actually cared about the meta and changing it, you'd have done a better job at play testing Stasis in pvp. Unless you drop a season that is similar to Age of Triumph, that revamps old raids, gives strikes decent loot and maybe even skeleton key chests, and make worthwhile rewards, I don't see myself giving you anymore money. I've played the role of sucker long enough for you Bungie, I'll give my time to something else. Possibly Outriders when it comes out in February. At least they don't seem to be recycling story content for endgame activities.

Frustrating to see another player using a weapon you can no longer obtain? What is this trophy for everyone mindset? Destiny existing as something that's alive is cool. What happened to your "You had to be there" approach that supposedly was going to shape the game? You guys really can't figure out what the game actually is and it shows more and more. Create new rewards that look rad and are worth using and you solve the problem. Meanwhile I'll be sticking with my old favorites that didn't get shafted with the level cap. More importantly, yeah this is kind of laughable as huge portions of the player base repeatedly brought this up in regards to sunsetting since the day it was announced. Frankly, after all these years playing Destiny I don't think you're ever going to get the weapons and loot right because of the path you've taken in your philosophy on what players SHOULD want vs. what they actually DO want. It's hard to understand what doesn't click that so many of the people who are seasoned in this game simply aren't going to try new weapons just because we need a higher light level on something. Maybe I'm an exception but I think it's fun to put up a fight going after higher level content with old weapons that have been sunset just to be stubborn.

Bearbeitet von Guardian: 12/9/2020 7:09:55 PMAt this point EVERYTHING Bungie tells us is nothing they actually do. THEY CAN'T simply because they have no clue sense moving to Steam. They are printing money and they don't have the gold to cover it. Just getting a app at capacity & state you'll be connected when someone leaves or whatever IS BS Why not just state "you can play when we let you, and not until" yeah, I'll sit around and wait to grind for a light level that has no meaning.

1 AntwortenSunsetting was created as an excuse to create less content, why can’t y’all just admit it already. Putting infusion caps on our weapons doesn’t make the game fresh when 1. The loot pool is abysmally small and 2. you’re reusing weapons from the past that we already have earned and 3. The 1 year expiration date makes the already grindy content less incentivizing to grind; for example, why should I masterwork my Season of Arrivals high stat armor pieces if I can’t use them in the next DLC expansion? Why waste the time and energy earning an Ascendant shard and multiple enhancement prisms for the masterwork when I’m just gonna end up dismantling/vaulting my current armor pieces? Sunsetting doesn’t even do what it originally promised (reduce power creep in game) because you keep making weapons like The Lament which does God-tiered dps and destroys anything it touches.

53 AntwortenHere's my bullshit from reddit I'm so tired of arguing against sunsetting, just to see the same logic spat out back at me like nothing is wrong with it. It is exceedingly frustrating. Nothing I'm about to type is going to matter because apparently, this is not a discussion, but a lecture. While we still are hard at work on improvements to how we rotate gear out of the Destiny Power ecosystem (what gear you can infuse to max Power), there were a few clear-cut misses with our first rollout.
The initial reward pool with this release was just too small. It's frustrating to be playing Destiny and see another player use a weapon that is no longer obtainable in game.
This is your take? That's it??? Where's the destroyed incentive to bother with any of it?
a way to make sure that the overall number of rewards Guardians need to care about in order to be competitive in Destiny isn’t prohibitive
You don't need that much, you never do. 110% is not required in this game. If it kills, it kills, you don't need the entire damn arsenal to be viable.
Our goal from the beginning with Infusion Caps is to improve and keep Destiny 2 fresh over time
You made it stale, uninteresting, and unmotivating.
more unique hand-crafted gear that aligns with the world narrative and where the universe is going.
This doesn't line up with other characters having 0 problems with power caps. We should not be expected to rotate weapons for narrative reasons because it does not matter. Crow can save Osiris's capped gun with a capped sword. Drifter can take on New Fallen with a capped gun. This keeps going. It doesn't line up. Bullets are Bullets. The only momentum created is the force of the Hamster Wheel you are FORCED to run on to now have a chance in this game. What was once a large array of the same 50-60 things all slightly different from each other that you'd be completely fine with for most things has become a fraction of the choice it once allowed. Player choice is dead in comparison to what was allowed before. It is so blatant and unenjoyable that it is beyond how you guys conceived this as the right thing to do. There is 0 value in investing in anything in Destiny currently. Planned Obsolescence means no permanence, means no incentive (masterwork and roll grind), means no "rewards", means no reason to play. And on top of that, the Vault continues to be neglected for anyone trying to hold on and Collections remains a worthless, depressing gear catalog that only benefits your Eververse items and emblems. What good are more guns if there's no room to care about them? They'll die like the rest, it doesn't matter. There's no -blam!-ing hope is there....why am I even trying....oh right, I love this game. What a mistake.

7 AntwortenIt's nice to see that they are still just moving weapons, strikes, and raids over from Destiny 1. I mean... to hell with any innovation or solving actual problems so long as you can keep selling everyone the same stuff over and over again. There's a real funny line about how BL had some of the best exotic weapons and armor in Destiny history. That's just not true. Destiny 1 Age of Triumph had the best exotic weapons and armor in the entire series. The best builds I've ever put together in Destiny was during that time. I've had a few nice builds in Destiny 2, but those days are long gone. Glad I bailed so long ago. This isn't getting better, it won't get better. There's so many more interesting, and fun solutions to the problem that this game has that will never be made. It's not because the developers are dumb or lazy, that's just not true. I've known tons of software engineers, they are all smart and hardworking. The real problem here is leadership at the studio. No one wants to take a risk, no one wants a more difficult solution because it will slow down the production pipeline. In the mean time, every single expansion comes with less and less stuff, even though more and more things are being recycled or just moved over from Destiny 1. The prices never come down, but both quality and quantity are. Destiny 2 is not in a good place right now, and shadowkeep wasn't great either. All of my friends and I picked it up thinking a post-activision Bungie would be worth supporting. When we got to the end, we all said the same thing "That's it?". It was a disappointment, but we hung in there thinking the seasons would flesh everything out. Nope. That didn't work out either. By season of the worthy I was the last one left still trying to get something out of Destiny 2. Then... season of the worthy was completely centered around Trials. So I put in about 3-6 hours, learned that the bunker event was not fun, and there were no pinnacle weapons to chase... except that Iron Banner one, and I seriously dislike Iron Banner. So I uninstalled and got the hell out. Spent what could have been Beyond Light money on a trove of indie games, and some capcom titles that have more than replaced Destiny 2.... in both quality and quantity. A couple of the people, who i still play other games with, asked if we should get Beyond Light and get the band back together. I told them no, I'm out, every time I give Bungie money I look like a fool.

New auto rifle: Check New hand Canon: Check New sniper: Check New Fusion: Check New pulse: Check OK we got some new weapons, let's go play the same -blam!-ing rotting boring, lame ass, piss poor, core content we've been playing since destiny 2 launched. Errr actually, some of it, as the other part of it got vaulted. Hey I got a great idea! Let's bring back some destiny one stuff, we could re roll it, re skin it, and go play that pile of crap again with it, because it'll make all the difference!

1 AntwortenWhoa man would've never quessed a Bungie update on top of the forums after TWABs were pulled. Please Bungo this transparency is what we need, we are not as bad as you think just a weird bunch.

3 AntwortenBearbeitet von DeathPony07: 12/8/2020 8:00:06 PMYou guys need to unsunset armor. There's literally no reason for sunsetting it. Masterworking isn't even worth doing anymore because the armor will eventually become useless and masterworking costs too much.

When I think about it, if they put as much effort with sunsetting into their actual content they would have some decent content. I know everyone thinks of their own peril with sunsetting, I hate it too. The two things I hate about sunsetting: -They are breeding out perks in weapons (ie: auto loading holster in rocket launchers, rampage/swashbuckler in auto rifles). Traits and archetypes are missing, whether it be kinetic or energy. It negatively effects possible readouts and minimizes variety. -Bungie MUST make more weapons, lest they repeatedly reissue everything in due time. They have less time on content, because they have to meet a quota they shot themselves in the foot by in the first place. Before K/G sniffs and finds me there are a few cases where sunsetting helps. -Midnight coop, yes it's a single gun but it makes a significant motif. It really had to go, weapons like that are far too old to have made it as far as it did. I can see the means of having those be left behind. However, things like oxygen and all of shadowkeep, which, by the way, can still be bought with money that does not give you much more than a location to go to. Anyways, 5+ years and you don't know common problems until the people tell you. If Bungie were a nation, we'd only know you from pages in aged books and nothing more.
