Tying exotics to Lost Sectors and RNG is not a good example of a replayable activity
I get that you want us to get rewarded for doing replayable things, which is nice, but just tell me to go do some lost sectors via bounty. You putting exotics in there at a higher difficulty doesn’t make me want to go in and do them, especially solo when you match increased difficulty with a timer.
I went in and did one a couple times today and even if I had gotten an exotic out of it (I got something in one of the cosmodrome ones), it wasn’t fun and the experience doesn’t make me want to bother with them. All I do is follow a specific plan in order to beat it. Rinse and repeat and if I had any interest in learning about the nuances of mods (I don’t) I could do them significantly faster I’m sure. But even at a sub ten minute run, it turns the experience into a loot cave. Do a repeatable task in a very specific way for whatever the goal is.
The only difference is that if someone else is on to play with, I have to decide if I want to have fun with friends that benefits us both or do we both play by ourselves doing something that is probably not going to be beneficial to us in the scheme of things.
I think one thing that stands out about how you do loot is that you want to have us do things to get things that are nice, but quickly tarnish when they are tied to repeating tasks or to tedium. Want an aspirational gun in crucible? Even if you like crucible, going into the meat grinder of comp is not an example of where a lot of people want to be. Want that for vanguard? Sorry, I don’t feel like using a fusion rifle all the time so I can get another fusion rifle. By the time I’ve got it, I don’t even want to use that gun type again.
I want to let you in on a little secret. Most people just want to play the game. That there are difficult choices in some activities is great and rewarding people for playing them is great, but not everyone is Esoterickk and I’m sure that even he likes to play with friends.
And no, I’m not telling you to do anything. Keep the exotics where they are or don’t, whatever. I’m just telling you that your current trajectory with these changes is to keep annoying people into inactivity.

I've had more exotics drop from low tier NF than I have in over fifty runs of the newest legendary sector lol.

I'm totally fine with the solo lost sector part, it's actually nice. But the problem is the stupid RNG, drop rates are so unreliable. I've been doing the legend lost sectors so many times I've lost count but I still haven't even gotten an old exotic, let alone the new ones. The old raid tied exotics had an increasing likelihood of drop as you got more completions with a final fifty percent drop rate. This thing has no such mechanism so one could essentially run it once and get it or run it 100 times and never get it. That needs to be fixed.

One of the things that I thought made destiny 1 better. I think that having it randomly drop made the exotic more memorable and fun. I havent felt that way about any Destiny 2 exotic except maybe anarchy. Also the lost sectors are boring as hell, and champions... Champions are Bungies way of forcing you to use guns you don’t want too. Not a good time. It seems most players seem to disagree with that, destiny pliers have change a lot or maybe all the players that used to play are gone.

I should mention that I've always hated legendary lost sectors in general. They're unnecessarily dificult, with way to many modifiers that force you to play a spacific way, and remove a significant amount of player choice when it comes to approaching them. You either play with a few spacific builds and a few spacific strats, or you won't be finishing it, and even if you do, you'll hate every minute of it. It's the most unfun activity in the game, and I'd argue they're outright anti player. Even so I'm not asking for them to be gone. I just want an option that doesn't make me choose between fun/playing with my friends, or some new exotics that I should be able to reasonably get considering how much money I've sunk into this game despite Bungie's failures.

Replayability is an issue. Just as it is with NF ordeal. Bungie should make it load you into random activities and not the same one over and over, it would spice it up a bit. As far as the exotics being RNG, that is the destiny way...man it's pretty high chance to drop though. I have all of the new exotics doing just the legendary mode, and got all of them on my first run except for warlock gloves and hunter helm. Those took a few runs each. Wasn't too grindy. But Jesus the master versions I do not enjoy. Do-able, but honestly they are just frustrating to run solo. Last one I did the hydra boss literally just spammed the hell out of the only entrance to his area and would kill me before I could even get sights on him. Plus double the amount of overload champs. Pure cancer.

I actually like it. Ran 5 Master Arms Exotic LS. I received 2 Exotics. So that's pretty good vs the Random months of trying to get an Engram back in the day.

14 AntwortenSo first the community complains that solo players can't reliably farm exotics from Legendary and Master ordeals, so Bungie then adds solo Legendary and Master Lost Sectors to rectify that and then we get these complaints. My God this community has no idea what they want.

The reason well my personal record this season was 2mins 44seconds all champions down and chest unlocked, and never exceeding 3 & a half mins per clear. I ran at least 30 of them, yes the drop rate was extremely bad, however because they can be reliably cleared in 3 and a half mins or less alone they [b]CANT[/b] have a high drop rate. It would devalue exotics to say the least. 1280 solo clear they drop like candy. You want some one to blame. Blame your self for not being able to speed run them with in 3mins or being able to solo 1280 where they are indeed very common. All of them are a cake walk but e15 master. They got welfare exotic source, his name is xur. watch out though the way you described your self could be a hella challenge to get to him.

As a mainly solo player I completely disagree with your title. I can now spend time grinding a lost sectors for specific exotic slots on a daily rotation..I freakin luv it!!!

I think it was a great addition. But I would change it so ONLY those new exotics drop there do you can farm rolls.

Bearbeitet von Cervantes: 12/7/2020 1:12:34 PMI think it is a step in the good direction and whilst I have gotten a fair amount of Exotics from Legendary Lost Sectors, only one has been worth keeping stat-wise. I play Titan and have been grinding for Precious Scars and Icefall Mantle. I have gotten one of each so far but with bad stats (less than 60) and worse distribution. Finally, I have done at least 40 Legendary Lost Sector runs for both Helmet and Leg Armour (so 40 runs for each) and not gotten a single One-Eyed Mask or Dunemarchers, which could just be RNG but it is somewhat suspicious considering these are the two best Titan Exotics (especially for PvP). The problem with the Lost Sectors is the drop rates are very low and the gear stats are usually trash. Some will say "that's just the way the game has always been, git gud and git grinding". Some people enjoy the grind. I don't and like me, there are many others. I would go as far to saying most people don't. I think the game could be a lot more enjoyable if it was less grindy and Bungie could find a way to push out content more regularly. It seems like they can't push out content more regularly, so they stall as much as possible with overly grindy activities and nerfing things that allow you to get through PvE content more quickly (Effigy, Guillotine, Stasis Warlock, etc.).

I think alot of you are misinformed. The new exotics or any particular exotic isn't tied to solo lost sectors. You can obtain the new exotic from multiple places including powerful engram and nightfall. The solo lost sectors just make it easier to farm because they target a particular piece. I really enjoy having challenging things to do solo and wish everything gave increased rewards for solo play.

1 AntwortenI don't have enough free time to no-life this game anymore, work and family commitments take priority. That being said, I find it impossible at lowlight to finish these legendary lost sectors solo. Bungie instilled it into us that this game is not for solo players, find groups, make friends etc. And beat end game together then suddenly put rewards up for solo end game activities... I can understand an emblem for solo dungeon runs but exotic armour is too far. I will never regret buying the deluxe BL expansion but this was a dick move. I guess I will level up enough to one day tell my friends I can't play with them because I'm farming solo play.. let that sink in... sorry friends I need to play by myself to get rewards.

I think the 90+ replies and a net negative response is clear enough, but I'll throw in my 2 cents as well. This has been the best thing to happen to exotic loot since Bungie realized the community enjoys an intentional loot grind; anyone who's played since Menagerie can see how clear this is. Allowing us to say "Hey, this sector is dropping exotic helmets. I want some good exotic helmet rolls." is an amazing QOL feature. Without this, our best way of getting rolls we wanted was to hop into GMs and roll on the entire exotic list, mostly getting stuff you neither want nor need. This idea that adding this system is a net negative is honestly mind-boggling. I imagine the real problem is you, like many, are the kind of player to save up exotic engrams until following seasons to get guaranteed new exotics with zero effort. I'm sorry but I cannot bring myself to respect any part of that stance. TL;DR: Bungie can put loot anywhere they want. Accept it or quit.

No. This system is fine. This is the least RNG influenced exotics we've had. Either get with the program, or no exotics for you.

I love farming Legendary Lost Sectors; some of the funnest stuff I've done.

Have a team? Farm the nightfall. Solo? Farm the lost sector. It also allows you to target farm specific exotics. If you actually modded the runs are 3 minutes on 1250 and 5-7 on the 1280.
