Felwinter’s... it should NOT come back and this is why
This should not come back. I want Bungie to see this and consider it before they bring it back
1. The main reason they want it is because they get killed by it. That is understandable, but brining it back won’t make that better. If you give it to more people, you will get killed by it more, and it will not solve the problem. There are plenty of shotguns that are good in crucible, for example xenoclast is pretty good. So is duality, chaperone, astral horizon which will be adept and probably better the felwinters, toil and tumble, CQC, etc.
2. People say it should also be in the kiosk. Again, this is wrong. All of the legendary weapons in the kiosk are either a pinnacle or a ritual weapon that was tied to a core activity. Felwinters was a seasonal quest that was not tied to any core activities. It is a season and event weapon. It should not be in the kiosk with the pinnacle and ritual weapons.
3. How it was obtained was terrible too. We had to do 9 million successful public events at the beginning. Not only that, but half of the time you failed the public event because they were hard. There were talks of us intentionally failing the quest before they had to buff out progress and even then we had to power through.
4. My final point is that it was compensation. I payed and played that season the whole time it was active. There were a lot of people like me who stayed loyal and didn’t go play something else during that entire season. That public event was the main activity the whole time. For the people who stayed with the game, Bungie gave us a good reward for that. We should get it, it was compensation for that terrible season that we not only played, but we payed for. People don’t understand that
We suffered through a terrible season that had little to no content and a quest that was at one point thought for us to intentionally fail, and felwinters was our reward for not giving up and we deserved something good in return.

In the end who cares, its going to be sunset soon enough. Something else will take its place or maybe not. As the sandbox changes and weapons are sunset, season to season, so does the way we play the game.

I’m a firm believer in, our reward for suffering through that horrible season was felwinters lie now if you didn’t want to play the mission for a half hour then I have no sympathy! They should bring back Efrideet spear as a short mission to appease these salt lords

And now you think that you're entitled to have this shotgun why nobody else should be able to earn it anymore. You're putting yourself on a higher pedestal compared to the rest of the players. 1 AntwortenReminds me of kids crying about "Xûring" guns back in D1. Its a pile of pixels, get over yourself. When everyone has the same guns available, PvP becomes about skill, not who has the better gun/roll. Besides, only apes use shotties in Crucible.

2 AntwortenThis sounds like a pve player going like I have it and I don’t want anybody else to get it because I work hard for it.. but when not forgotten was he was prbly on the other side of the fence going like it’s unfair that only good pvp players can get it. Destiny has always made sure that the imbalance in the game due to guns ether gets nerf or gets available for everybody. Felwinter is no different

Then Bungie needs to un-sunset mindbenders ambition or give us different energy aggressive frame shotties. It’s bullshit how I’m at a disadvantage in IB/Trials because I didn’t play during some garbage season 6 months ago.

4 AntwortenYou’ve had it exclusively for 9 months. The fact is that the only shotgun that could come close to the OSK range of Felwinters was mindbenders. Everyone knows mindbenders was sunset and the cry for Felwinters to return started this season because of the sunset. I have the god roll of the CQC and xenoclast. I’ve tested them against Felwinters in a private match. The don’t even come close. Putting Felwinters into the hands of everyone will make getting kills about your skill with movement and your shots...opposed to just having the best shotgun in the history of destiny. I personally think people opposed to it are afraid they won’t be able to crutch it to “be good” at crucible. You saying other shotguns are good options makes you lose any credibility on speaking on the matter lol

3 AntwortenI would like to remind you that felwinters is the only spread shotgun around that's good. Most of what you said was good was slug shotguns that require precision. People don't want to aim for the head in close quarters.

I got NF legit back when it came out as a 180, which was 100x harder than what most of the population had to do to get it now. Yet, you don’t see me complaining about it. If you want to use FOMO when it comes to cosmetics, fine. But weapons? Nah.

Heres the deal: in trials and iron banner, there will be one true legendary competitor for it- astral horizon. Before, you could use mindbenders to almost similar or the exact same range. And while you could use something like chaperone, it isn’t really the same. If they implemented a secondary legendary high impact shotgun, then they wouldn’t need to bring back fel. Btw I don’t have fel and it’s dummy frustrating dying to it over and over while I will never own it.

I've got Felwinter's, and I don't care if they put it in everyone's Postmaster for Christmas. It was a great shotgun in D1 - worthy of the hype. I rarely use it in D2. Getting killed by it? Equip a sidearm, SMG or my personal favorite... a good voop.

At least bring it back to earn via quest again I was so busy I had no time and didn’t even know it came back, I could care less about pvp, but I do like collecting.
