Shaw Han is a disgrace of a Hunter. Hunters are supposed to be 1: wrecking people in the crucible; 2: fighting the enemies of humanity; or 3: eating ramen in shady hideouts. Shaw is a Titan with a cape and bones on his arms. His clothes don’t even make sense! He has hard to get pants, an exotic gauntlet (which Zavala should disapprove of for its bones and yet they are buddies) and a FWC vest. I like the Cosmodrone, but as a veteran player I am disappointed at its uselessness. I hope that he stays were he is, gets killed by a simple Hive wizard like his friends, or it is revealed that he is a Zavala clone. If he becomes the new Hunter vanguard then us Hunters are doomed to slowly become Titans. He also breaks time like so much of the new stuff. I have been playing since D1 and apparently he (and Zavala for some reason) thinks that I am a newbie and that I don’t know the difference between the two bumpers on my controller.

How do you start the introduction mission? Cant find it anywhere

His armor looks like it was designed by a 3 year old who loves Iron Man. Plus he’s got a real punchable face.

He's not there for you. He's there to be the bridge that brings new players into the universe and the game where it stands now. He brings something valuable to the game. It just not in the game FOR YOU.

He looks like Thomas the Tank Engine.

I think it's mildly entertaining that his bounties can be considered "Han jobs".

He is actually the most generically designed character of all time. He looks like all the male fornite characters got throw into one useless NPC

New light makes it very clear he is a introductory tutorial character and I feel like it was handled well.

I don't think you know enough about Mr Han. If you haven't done New Light, I'd recommend playing that to get some more appreciation for Shaw Han and his role in the story. Yeah he's a more grounded character than Ms Time Travelling Robot, but that's kinda the whole point. He's supposed to be a basic character and friendly face to help introduce new players to the game. It's a job he does quite well. His basic characterisation as a simple fireteam leader who's a little bit too hard on himself for the deaths of his fireteam members is refreshing in the face of the more ambiguous characters like Eris. Just a friendly dude to work with against a threat that doesn't put the whole universe at stake. PLAY NEW LIGHT PEOPLE. IT'S ACTUALLY PRETTY GOOD.

I wonder how he got promoted to his post and why Zevala tells us he values his judgement. Han clearly is impetuous if not incompetent. He doesn't come off as a seasoned guardian, more like a young soldier thrust into a position he hasn't grown into...and it cost at least two guardians' lives. I think there's character, there, at least the makings of one. As to dialog for veterans, the quest line is clearly meant for newbies. Grin (or grimace) and bear it.

Not sure what people expected. The other characters are hardly setting the world alight. Saint 14 is one of the greatest Titan's alive. A Titan whose mere presence would cause women's knicker elastic to snap and their bra's to just fall off in admiration. Women wanted him and men wanted to be him. He now stands in a Hangar selling tokens for a bugged event. Osiris, the greatest Guardian ever apparently, got -blam!- slapped by a Hive Knight and saved by Crow. His Ghost had to sacrifice herself to save him because he once again screwed up. Probably stuck somewhere drunk out of his brains. Ikora Ray spends her days day dreaming at her post with nothing to sell and nothing to do. She just stands around wibbling away to herself in between shaving her head and wondering why no one bothers with her anymore. The Crow is standing in a cubbyhole selling tokens and mumbling gibberish. His Ghost apparently has a bomb in it. How did that happen anyway when they never sleep and would surely notice someone sticking explosives in them ?? Zavala stands about being spied on by the bones of an Ahamkara that everyone knows have powers after death and no one has thought to get rid of it. He spends his time saying "Hello Guardian" and gripping the rail like he is holding in a massive dump. Shaxx just stands about shouting under the same Ahamkara when he should, as a Titan, be decking every scummy Hunter that dares show his face in his presence. Petra Venj is a vendor for the Dreaming City, a dead location. She is also in the Spiders Lair as I had just done the first missions of Foresaken and she was stood ten feet away from the Crow and never recognised him. Dozy bint. Petra spends her days travelling around locations in the Dreaming City every week as she is just totally bored with the never ending curse. Eris Morn is still talking to herself in her now dead location but no one is there to even laugh at the sad space cat lady anymore because like the Dreaming City its utterly pointless now. She just stands there in an outfit that looks like it was made from the casts offs from an Oxfam shop dribbling gibberish and smelling of wee. Hawthorne, probably the most pointless one of all is still sat there with her stupid bird talking to us in that patronising way. I find it hard to believe that not one of my fellow Titans has tractor cannoned her and her stupid bird straight into the side of the Traveller. The Drifter's alright. At least he makes an effort to be mildly interesting. Ana Bray has re-appeared. Last seen in front of a giant Exo head with her robotic sister talking about how much they hate their grandad. Exo Stranger. Wow. Apparently she now has time to explain. And a rocking bod. She also sounds a lot like Ciri from the Witcher 3. She too hates her Grandad.

Been in the Cosmodrome once and thought this dude looked like a created character. Seriously like some release date patch afterthought. Shiro-4 would've been nice.

Shaw Han is definitely a guardian created to help new players, and the entire cosmodrone has been made into a massive newbie map per all the free roam jazz I've discovered. My only gripe with Shaw Han is apparently we've had this hunter leading and guiding operations out here, who is a buddy of Big Z, and we can't find anyone to fill the Hunter Vanguard role? This dude is literally doing the entire Hunter Vanguard job, just exclusively in the Cosmodrone. Come On!
