I gave them a pass with shadowkeep, as they were hot off the separation from Activision.
And waited for beyond light, so bungie could truly show all the haters what they could achieve on their own.
And its pretty pathetic.
Not even taking into consideration sunsetting.
This dlc on its own is incredibly weak, especially from the loot aspect.
Barebones content, horrible server stability, crucible is nigh unplayable, no loot, mediocre story(unless you read the lore, as always)
This is it, this is as good as it gets.
And its a damn shame

7 AntwortenBearbeitet von Majestic12: 11/18/2020 1:02:33 PMYou are completely wrong, the expansion is amazing, more story content than ever before, beautiful new armor, awesome new subclass, tons of stuff to do. The DLC is the best we’ve seen in a long time. Luke smith delivered and then some. Don’t be like fake news, give credit when it’s do please.

Tried to get my boy back on D2. The lack of content, loot and Trials being disabled made him leave within 1 week lol.
-
i don't normally defend bungie but this is obviously wiping the slate clean for an easier time moving forward. i paid for the story and I'm not disappointed. am expecting better loot and better activities on the horizon one thing that's much less excuseable is the absolute dumpsterfire that is pvp

It's exactly what I expected from a franchise headed by someone without any formal education in anything management or computer-related.
-
Lmao Im glad I didn’t buy it Im only here to read all the sad stories lol

2 AntwortenIf shadowkeep was half baked, then Beyond Light is the cake mix that never saw an oven.
-
5 AntwortenPerhaps, but you have to keep in mind that a considerable amount of this DLC was worked on at home outside of their studios. It’s been a stressful time for all of us in the real world, I don’t think there is a single company that hasn’t had their work affected by C19. So on that front, it’s unfair to say “this is what Bungie is ‘truly’ capable of.” Maybe as of now in these conditions, but I think they would be capable of more if times weren’t so rough.
-
This is just expensive filler content. You all got scammed. Witch Queen is what you want to wait for. Lightfall, has similar aspects to Witch Queen but you probably won't be satisfied with the ending. I know I will be though, because I prophesied it.
-
Bungie now focuses on trying to please the hardcore fans players that really get deep into the game. With d2 vanilla, they tried to make the game for both casual and try hard players, it ended up being terrible so they made it for the people that play the game a lot and will spend the time and money playing it
-
9 AntwortenJust in case you didn't know . . . . . . . Bungie can't program.
-
1 AntwortenBungie like bioware have become so soulless and void of any creativity its sad Activision was not the problem bungie being lazy and a subpar developer was
-
9 AntwortenLol this is what they could put out during a pandemic while everyone was working from home. Considering what’s going on in the world I feel they did a pretty good job. If this is what they can do from home imagine what they can do when everyone gets back into the studio.

1 Antworten100% agree, this dlc is lame, short story, no new nothing except Europa. No new maps in PvP or Gambit. Community as a whole very disappointed and especially with the state stasis is in at the moment with PvP.
-
4 AntwortenRemoving entire planets would be fine if the others were updated. Why is Nessus still the same from 2017? The world should be updated. At least make all the patrol zones permanently have the extra bit of stuff that a Flashpoint would have.
-
I think it’s excellent... really enjoying its so far...

Bearbeitet von Tis-but-a-scratch: 11/18/2020 7:20:08 PMAnd to think they had to delay it too.

4 AntwortenI didnt had problem with Beyond Light story, it was fine, post story quests to unlock grenades on each characters is boring AF, but doable. BUT. LOOT ?! Where is it, they added only few weapons into DLC loot pool, like W T F ? Thes not even aggresive shotgun or adaptive frame handcannon added, im fukin disappointed
-
Im embarrassed for them.
-
I’ve been thoroughly disappointed too. Hardly any new loot to speak of, busted PvP at launch, copy-paste campaign with no meaningful character interactions to speak of (I think Drifter only had a few lines at all)... At least the game runs well on the new consoles. The 4k patch will do wonders I’m sure

a good dlc
-
Its the same plot as forsaken With less content
-
Bearbeitet von Tk: 11/18/2020 7:17:51 AMYep, you wont see much difference in witch queen and lightfall. This pace that we're going at in terms of content is pretty much it for the next few years.
-
I gotta admit, I was surprised the game wasn't rendered nigh inoperable with the whole ripping out 40% then adding content in the same breath

6 AntwortenBearbeitet von Iccotak: 11/19/2020 4:42:34 AMGo look at the roadmap for beyond light. On the roadmap there is a very specific image that says from Nov 10 - Jan 12 uncover Europa’s secrets (This is specifically labeled with the BL insignia). The very last image says “and more!“ Season of the Hunt has its own specific insignia, and season missions start Nov 17. This means it’s labeled as content separate from the paid content of Beyond Light. Conclusion: The roadmap tells you to expect more content rolling out for Beyond Light for the next couple of months alongside the Season. A simple look at the amount of triumphs still secret should be enough of a demonstration that we aren't done yet. EDIT: check out this article https://www.forbes.com/sites/paultassi/2020/11/18/destiny-2-beyond-light-is-hiding-more-content-until-the-raid-is-cleared/

My whole clan and I hard agree with this.
