Logging in earlier today was a bit of a pain (as is the norm for day one of new content in D2).
But as soon as I got into the game, I was pleasantly surprised at how much faster loading into destinations has become on my basic PS4 (with SSD installed) compared to before BL.

I don't have time to wander off into deep thought while staring at my ship.
-
When you remove half the game from the engine you get faster load times 😂
-
Yeah. Now that things have settled down. Just logged onto series x, 15 seconds from log in to character select. No complaints with that.
-
This has been lovely. I'm on PS4 and the fact that I can't do laundry while I'm waiting for loading screens is pleasantly inconvenient lol.
-
I'm loving load times on the xbox series x. So much better now.
-
Im on the Series X now and it feels like I'm running the game on pc with how fast the loading times are
-
Halve of the game for removed, so it was to be expected
-
If you get a new gen, just wait til the update on dec 8

They need to adjust the flying animation sequence and stop dragging out the load times. I play on modded Xbox one x with fast ssd and a new built this year gaming pc. There should only be load times when in a matchmaking and relying on other peoples slow setup. On my pc I tried single nvme and a raid with 2 nvme and it made no difference. I just got my Xbox series x and load times are about the same as my modded Xbox one x which tells me bungie is wasting time loading locations. Maybe once they get the enhanced version for Xbox series x it will change but as of now no difference from my Xbox one x. But either way I feel they definitely use the animation to drag out our playing time. My biggest concern is matchmaking on my series x with people on an original Xbox one with stock hard drive. I hope they prioritize matchmaking to try same gen systems first then fall back on cross gen matchmaking. Or for everything but pvp allow us to load and go instead of the stupid black screen we get wile waiting for the other people to load into the strike.
-
Near instant load times with my M.2.NVME drive. Hella fasy
-
Same with Xbox. I played about 4 hours yesterday and I had shorter load times. It’s great
-
Tried to play last night. I was constantly booted back to spawn or orbit. Erasing all progress. Fun? Nope.
-
Yeah, I was ready to wait for 5 minutes before going to the tower. I imagine the load times will be even better with next generation consoles.
-
1 AntwortenYes, the fast load times come in handy when you get kicked over and over
-
Ah, so that’s not just me? Been rerunning my Warlock alt on Xbone and between EDZ, Europa and the Tower the load times have been near instantaneous. Only loading into Crucible/strikes really seems unchanged.
-
Was really happy. Im on Xbox One X, and the load times are really nice now.

Loading times 2x faster now. Servers were cluttered last Monday and Tuesday, but from now on it seems all the technical work done pays off. Without sunsetting, they could only do that by releasing a separate Destiny 3 ( which is almost what we got right now - or Destiny 2.5 ) and i like it that way.
-
They have never been faster. It's amazing.
-
Regular ps4 slim here. No ssd. And my character screen and and fly time were impressive.
-
Agree fully. So much faster now. Good qol change.
-
My PC, can't check Xbox yet, load times are insanely fast. Like I'm at my character select screen ten seconds after hitting space, and I load into planets within 5 seconds. It's almost off putting not waiting for 5 minutes to get to a planet
-
I noticed it too From press to start to select 3 characters and orbit to anywhere much faster I use PC hard drive
-
The DCV is to thank for that lol
-
I was so excited when I loaded into Europa in literally 10 seconds on my PS4 Pro
-
Noticed it also. Play on PS4 pro and load screens are so much faster. Wonder if the content they cut has something to do with it.
