Do the humans make research, tests, analisys about Traveler's body and its materials? I'm here waiting the event and this though pass by my mind.

As far as I know, no. They don’t use samples to test. The only test I know of was back in D1, where they monitored energy output from the Traveler. The only note regarding the composition of the Shell comes from the Dreams of Alpha Lupi: “It feels like lead and neutronium and electroweak matter fashioned into a moon-sized ball that you must carry as you move.”
