I could bear with sunsetting given that there was enough new gear for me to replace my old stuff with and that the number of new gear outnumbered the old gear...but that doesn't really appear to be the case at the moment.
There's still a possibility that I'm wrong but...that's 3 full vendors with forsaken gear that drives the core activities...with 1 new strike and no new gambit or crucible maps...
And that old gear is the stuff we already own but with a different stamp that we will HAVE TO GRIND in order to use it in the content we paid for.
Let me just say I am throughly disappointed to hear this.
I enjoy doing crucible and having literally no reason to do it other than "to play it" after doing so for many many MANY hours and being bored of it sucks.
And strikes being the same worthless pieces of crap they've been since black armory is disappointing.
Gambit hasn't been touched since season of the drifter which is a very long time ago.
I enjoy playing ALL aspects of destiny...and yet they do so little to give me a reason to play them or the game itself.
Fun is collecting gear, fun is using said gear to me.
This doesn't sound fun.
This just sounds like the same crap again and it sets my expectations for the expansion even lower than they already were.
I used to love this game man...pretty much unconditionally no matter what and yet...I find myself more frustrated with the game than I do enjoying it.
*sigh* If beyond light isn't any good I'm just moving on.
Why do I even bother playing a game that continues to stray further and further from what I used to love about it?
Let me know what you guys think about hearing this.

2 AntwortenBearbeitet von jyoung314: 11/1/2020 4:36:18 PMCrazy to think that guns like Better Devil's and Main ingredient has been dropping since the launch of D2 in 2017. And probably will still be dropping going into Year 4 of this game. It's been over 3 years and still no vendor update. That is sad and hilarious at the same time. Do people still think we are just "salty haters" when we say Bungie is a lazy crappy development studio?
-
18 AntwortenThat’s not completely true, I’m sure Eververse will get a refresh
-
Why refresh when we will earn the same sunset weapons back...... Recycle and reuse that's the Bungie way...
-
2 AntwortenIt's ok, once you see those storms on Europa they worked hard on, you'll forget about everything they have forgotten about.
-
My opinion, it seems like over the last two years (since they got everyone back on the good side with Forsaken) they've been slowly seeing just how little content they can sell for the $70 a year model and get away with it. I'm expecting the new expansion to be another Shadowkeep with a new subclass, and that's it. They got away with it last year, they aren't trying to play damage control like they were after D2 vanilla.

9 AntwortenThe game is about weapons. In two weeks Destiny will have less weapons than it has ever had. More unique weapons has been a top request for years. But that takes actual effort and a skilled team.
-
Bungie, from one of the best to one of the worst in the industry.
-
2 AntwortenWhat's equally alarming is that Bungie has stated no plans for refreshing or reworking the loot from Shattered Throne, Pit of Heresy, Nightmare Hunts, or Altars of Sorrow. If they weren't already dead before they will be dead when Beyond Light releases.
-
It’s well known sun setting is a nice dress up for the fact they are unequipped to properly balance the game nothing more nothing less
-
5 AntwortenActually.....if you go back a few weeks, there is a Vendor Refresh happening starting with Beyond Light and every year after that. Bungie has stated this multiple times and they have even released pictures of the NEW Armor Sets for Vanguard...Crucible and Gambit. The only thing in question is a Weapon refresh that I've not seen anything about but YES.....there is a Vendor refresh coming. Sorry you wasted time posting a rant and everyone that replied complaining also missed the boat on the information that Bungie released weeks ago.
-
4 AntwortenThey literally said multiple times there is a vendor refresh. I get you kids think it’s cool to hate on the game but at least make real complaints.
-
2 AntwortenIt’s honestly baffling there isn’t a refresh, like..... holy f*ck it can’t be that difficult to make 5-7 new guns for 3 vendors, and speaking of that where the f*ck are factions, it’s been 2 dam years.... it’s exhausting at this point.
-
5 AntwortenWhat even is a vendor refresh
-
3 AntwortenWhy? You’ll buy it without refresh and so will many others. Why put more effort into it than needed.
-
Why you acting like Vendor refresh would change something :)? The loot pool is huge anyway, do you really think it would be fun hoarding mats and sitting in tower for 30 mins just for some new guns to pop from Banshee?
-
What were you expecting?! Bungie is the only company now and have shrunk down in size with staff. We will never get a forsaken size dlc again period. So vender refresh no way , wasn't expecting whatsoever. Bungie will never please the destiny community....impossible! I enjoy D2 and I'm looking forward till next week .

5 AntwortenYeah, I barely play anymore. This is nothing but a free Xbox game pass game to me at this point. If some friends jump back on and we run Vault of Glass I may change my tune, but who knows. Knowing Bungie, they’ve littered VoG with those stupid champions that force us into loadouts that we hate, and we’ll beat it once for Nostalgia’s sake, and then leave the game again. I think I just want this game to be D1 - a fun looter shooter with some rpg and coop thrown in. D2 is just another live-service money grab with no soul.
-
As much as I like and want new gear, it's better for the game to just stick a few seasonal weapons in every few months. I dont need 1 of every archetype of every gun class in the game because only a few will get used. I'd rather Bungie focus on activities. Which....with only one new strike, they're not doing either...🤦♂️

1 AntwortenWell with token dumping no longer being a thing since everything drops 20 below it just makes vendors like devrim & failsafe even more obsolete .. Honestly wouldn't surprise me if I still received year 1 static rolls for dumping tokens
-
1 AntwortenSunsetting is just a reason for them to keep reissuing the same weapons. 3 years chasing the same weapons is stale. As long as they’re heavily focused on eververse, we’ll never see a decent vendor refresh.
-
75 AntwortenBearbeitet von TheArtist: 10/31/2020 8:01:11 PMBungie would have gotten hammered for being lazy if there had been a big vendor refresh, and revitalization of old content in a paid expansion.
-
3 AntwortenBearbeitet von Killmonger: 11/1/2020 12:24:35 AMStill no factions either. I remember running strikes over and over just for a hopscotch pilgrim. Don’t get that excitement anymore

Yea no vendor refresh for this long really ain't it cheif..

I meaaaaan if they are at least giving them new perks and whatnot i wouldnt mind so much, but it is a hard pill to swallow. Not giving too much reason to buy another lack luster 50$ expansion
