I want to get Married in D2
My fiancé and I are gay and were supposed to be married by now but covid ruined all our plans, now we are planning on getting a marriage certificate through the mail but we were hoping to have there ceremony in the game together somewhere. If there is anyway this were possible, please let me know Bungie.

(But I would do the custom PVP match with your friends that would be fun! Or the Tower and dress up as close as you can get to a 'wedding-style')

Skipping any political opinions.... Why Destiny? It’s too space limiting as far as I know. Also how is this in “Lore”? This is a personal question, it technically has nothing to do with lore of destiny.

1 AntwortenStep 1: put on your most dapper attire. If you’re a warlock, the new eververse armor is perfect. Step 2: load into tower with your fiancé. Step 3 (the ceremony): Have one of you stand by Zavala, and the other walk down towards the both of you. Friends can take appropriate standing positions if any are there. Say vows, and emote when done. After Zavala says “Indeed...” he now pronounces you husband and husband, or wife and wife... Afterwards, both of you jump off the tower at the same time. You could say it shows your love and dedication to each other, but I just say it because I’m a sadistic fecker. Alternatively, you could enter private matches (Mayhem) with your fiancé and friends if any are involved, do a little ceremony, then all use your supers and destroy each other. Personally I think it’s the most romantic choice, if we’re being honest.

1 AntwortenCongratulations! I don't think Bungie will do anything for you. But you might be able to fill up a tower with groups of 6. Have people, solo, that you want to invite to wedding, that live close to each other join towers until they match up. When you get three of them to match up, that would be 18 people you can have witness the union. You could organize people standing around in the tower to make it look like a wedding. I don't know if party chat could handle that many people, maybe discord

19 AntwortenI still don't see why ppl do this. Marriage is an outdated religious concept. I cannot fathom why ppl who NEVER go to church or practise a religious life insist on marriage. Also, getting married in a video game is ridiculous.

Nah, this community can’t even handle the basic human interactions without flipping a lid, rather keep any of the more complicated issues out of it at this point. COVID sucks, yes. But it you are getting married, don’t worry so much about the cooties. It would put a damper on the honeymoon.

Try some sort of Private Match. Or you could try the old Escalation Protocol trick to have more then 6 people in a PE area. Note even with the EP style of fireteam setup you may have other people standing around getting pissed at all the people not doing whatever event the area maybe hosting. So if you get supered in the middle of the ceremony, well----- Now the whole announcing your gay part. Was that really needed? As in if you want to be treated equal/normal then it really does not matter what you claim to be! And I'll spare you the whole 'marriage is a religious covenant and not a political right' speech. If you are trying to invoke special privileges then you have other issues you need to work on first! Having said all that I'd love to see you find a way to make it work and then create a YouTube and share it. Heck, I hope you submit it for a MotW. I'd vote for it!!! Either way - good luck :)

I would agree with the private match idea then mix in certain exotics/supers for a light show, then you can pick the map much you would have picked a venue for your nuptials. then you can play with shaders for the wedding party yada yada, sounds cool. my son is struggling to have a wedding as well, dates keep getting pushed back, told him to elope but they want a traditional one with everyone there to celebrate the union. hope you have a great lifetime together, been married for 26 years and counting. Congrats! Wook

I think your best bet would be to use a private match. You’d be able to get more people in the game and more through spectating. Perhaps use mayhem clash for some fun effects. Make the celebration very colourful (fitting for pride). Congrats to you both and I hope you both the best.
