Am I optimistic?
Na, not really.
But I'm still hopeful.

It's just going to be more of the same; more bounties, more lost sectors, more one line of dialogue a week that their enablers push as 'story' ... if it wasn't on Game Pass, I wouldn't be playing.
-
2 AntwortenI hope it’s good. The only reason I’m going to play it is because it’s on gamepass.
-
We can only hope🤞

5 Antwortenstasis subclasses will kill pvp entirely so nothing to be happy about for me atlast
-
"All"..."Happy"...doubtful. Someone, somewhere is going to find *something* they dislike. Strike is too hard. Not enough end game, storyline too short, not enough loot, bad rng, raid exotic too hard to get, raid too long, raid too short, sunset still pisses people off, etc. It'll be something nice and new in the beginning, but I can almost guarantee Kackis, Datto, Gladd, or Byf will come out with a rant (most likely Datto)

2 AntwortenShhhhhhh.......If you talk about it won’t come true! Jk, I hope it’s good to, It has me sold on a snowy patrol zone and ice powers And there is the potential story threads with so many characters coming to one place, what is Eris looking for? Why is the drifter coming ? Can Variks be trusted , is he still an ally or is he playing us and Erimas? And will the story flow into the raid like CE and TTK ? I am definitely hyped, but time will tell if it’s good or not, in 21 days we will see

I'm sure the basic stuff like the music, visual effects, the scenery, things like that will be good but I already know the basic content we're getting that there really isn't any interest for me in wanting to buy it when it releases. At first, watching a trailer for the new subclass and new area looks like it will be fun, but that is as far as it goes for me. For 3 years this company has set up every planet/area basically the same way, just with different scenery. You have your strikes Raids Public events Lost sectors A dungeon The rest of it is just enemies placed here and there. Some little areas will be filled with enemies to shoot and that is usually one or two areas and the rest will be a mass amount of empty areas that is playable ground or just scenery that after a week or two the game will be all about running bounties 90% of the time with the absurd amount of duplicates with the absurd amount of low stats on the gear just keeping that artificial grind going. That's not including the cost to masterwork items, and leveling up among other things in the game that is set up to show players time spent. Not interested in paying $40 just to have half the game removed and spend a lot of time grinding having nothing not show for it.

7 AntwortenMy feeling is that so much time is going into revamping the game engine and a new element that the dlc itself will be lackluster, and will feel even more so with all the content removal.
-
1 AntwortenMate it's gonna be a shit show. I think everyone is just waiting uneasily to see just how shit it is.

2 AntwortenBearbeitet von Swiftlock: 10/19/2020 8:15:24 PMAh yes, I remember when players got hopeful over Shadowkeep and Curse of Osiris...

I am personally expecting absolutely nothing from bungie, I hope they surprise me, but I doubt they will at this point.
-
2 AntwortenUnfortunately Bungie is not going to listen to the community of fix the many problems in this game unless their wallet is affected. I hope this DLC fails so that we can get some fixes in this game.

Idk AlienxHuman, but what did Kratos say to Atreus? "Keep your expections low boy and you'll never be disappointed..". Kind of works with Destiny, doesn't it? Expect to be disappointed and pre-order yourself a PS5 and Cyberpunk 2077, just to be on the safe side.

Fingers AND toes crossed

Hoping for some fun PvE stuff. 🤞
-
Same but end of the day I'll have Cyberpunk and Assassin's Creed Valhalla to play if it doesn't 😉

I know I’ll at least buy the new season. Whether I buy the expansion is still up in the air. I have to see all of what I’d getting before I drop $50 simply for a raid I won’t even do but maybe once if lucky.

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von Hesh: 10/20/2020 1:33:25 AMHeheheheheh! This is my second favorite part of the cycle! All the false hope and all the things people will immediately suckle on to scrounge together any semblance of praise... juuuust before it all goes back down to square one! I can only imagine the possibilities for how much worse it'll get this time around! Take it away, Bungo!

2 AntwortenAt least you're hopeful. Which, coming from you is kind of a surprise.
-
I hope it's not content starved like Shadowkeep, I need more things to explore secrets to find things to upgrade, what I don't need is a pointless 50 power grind each season (and 10+/- artifact). It still bothers me many people including guildmates and friends consider, power grind content it's pretty anti fun to increase arbitrair numbers. With the changes to mod's making builds might actually be fun, instead of frustrating & time wasting.

It's a bittersweet time for me. I'm excited for new lore and content but at the same time I just know 95% will be behind Eververse. They did it with Forsaken and Shadowkeep, they'll do it with BL...

6 Antworten
I dont know how some of you still play this I lasted a long time, but I lasted too long and at this point I really dont know how some of you can still play and support this game. I hope it starts to steer a better direction for the story. I won't be buying the expansions with the current quality of life problems the game has. A lot of my criticisms always started with menu/matchmaking load times, and time wasting content glitches. So maybe after Lightfall we'll see how well Bungie's promises of advertised optimizations pan out. Otherwise, occasional strikes, nightfalls and public events it is. These get repetitive if you play more than a few hours, but the gunplay never does. Works for me.

I’m sure it’s going to be great. And if it isn’t. We have plenty of other great games coming out this fall! We’re low key spoiled
-
Hey, if myself, one of the more vocal critics, is kinda sorta wanting to play BL after Cyberpunk, then there might just be hope after all. 😂 Then again, I do get to test drive it on Game Pass before I decide to buy it on my prefered console...
