60 AntwortenPeople seem to happy with Bungie sun setting all the items they have earned just to rerelease them with a higher cap on them. I still think the people who are happy with this are Bungie employee alt accounts. You’ll be losing more than you’re gaining. Also Bungie have created content that requires very specific set up (Trials, GM difficulty etc.) you think running around with random weapons is ever going to happen in these activities? People are always going to use the meta which would usually change when balancing weapons / armour, not removing them. Since I’ve heard about sunsetting I haven’t been bothered to play, what the point? Me to spend hours upon hours (grinding the same stuff over and over still) to get weapons which are going to be sunset? I wonder how many weapons will be taken away to be reskinned as new weapons in upcoming DLCs

It’s laziness. Plain and simple. They take stuff away. Make us pay for the dlc where they re-release it and then grind for it again.

3 AntwortenEvery one of my favorite weapons I grinded for If I wish to use them in ANY ACTIVITY in any build i desire I should be able to without damage or level penalties. What happened to PLAY THE GAME HOW YOU WANT IT? My favorite weapons and combinations I find most fun to use are nor OP nor meta, I like using a primary spiteful fang with draw time mr, archer tempo and rampage in pair with a thin line HC with quickdraw and opening shot, took over 600 lost sectors to get it plus 40 forges to get the bow and neither are meta or OP but both will be sunset and I wont be able to use them in nightfalls or gambit prime anymore (Where I do most of my build testing/playing). I like to do close up raid encounters like garden second encounter or riven vault with my primary one small step shotgun paired with an outlast and both will also be sunset. My favorite all around sniper is a long goodbye with masterwork over 1k kills and is far from the OP beloved or super OP revoker, but it will also be rendered useless in nightfalls and gambit prime. Took me over 200 insight terminus to get the roll but -blam!- it right? Repeat that for all my 450 god rolls and you get why I stopped playing when sunsetting was announced. Feel like all reason for a collector player like me to invest any second in the game is gone. Cant find any fun in doing anything because no loot is worth it anymore.

Thought they said Sunsetting was going to the DCV with the planets we are losing?

Bearbeitet von Akira: 9/23/2020 2:11:30 AM“Adored” “Beloved” Bungie you blow buns for that. Shouldn’t have made Gnawing Hunger a reissue, you could’ve slapped a calus scarf on GH and called it “Chewing Appetite” Pass that off as “new” content right??

1 AntwortenIf they really wanted to change things up they should have just released D3 and then gone back to the D1 system were gear from the previous dlc wouldn't carry forward.
-
Sunset my gear, sunset my business.
-
Sunset nerfing.

People will realize by December sunsetting was the death of the hard-core destiny player. yes the weapons were strong, but the recycling of content is lazy. theyre sunsetting so they don't have to come up with new weapons. Say what you want but its true.

So what your saying is increase edge transit drops.... Noted
all hail edge transit
2 AntwortenIt’s literally not that bad. Happened in d1 . Everything was fine . You play and start getting stuff to drop it higher light. You equip it . Use it. Forget sunsetting even happened .
-
clearly never played RPGs, new expansion, new gear, old gear is useless. i'm glad they are sunsetting stuff. keeps things fresh. keeps people going for new things.
-
I agree but you're wasting your time complaining. Let it play out. Let Bungie take the L they're working towards.

Just to add a bit more to your "Nerf Sunsetting" Nerf recycling, nerf re-skins

I originally put this as a reply to a specific post, but I figured I’d add it to the main thread to see what the response was... I understand the need for sunsetting and I’m ok with how it’s being implemented to this point. That said, I don’t think the need to sunset armor is as pressing as the need to sunset weapons. Armor is a much more passive part of game play and the mods don’t have as great an immediate impact as the weapons themselves. At the same time, armor provides a much greater degree of potential customization for Guardians to build around. Add to that the fact that masterworking armor costs significantly more (and harder to obtain) materials, and I think there’s a potential issue that could/should be addressed. I think there’s a few different things Bungie could do to alleviate the relative cost differences in masterworking armor over weapons: 1) Change the masterwork cost to be more in line with weapons. This would be an easy adjustment, however it would require either the elimination of or new purposes for the Enhancement Prisms and Ascendant Shards. I don’t think this is likely. 2) Give armor a longer life (or don’t sunset it at all) and, instead, be more aggressive with sunsetting mods. The real effects of armor that have a significant impact on the game are often tied to builds that utilize things like Charged with Light, Warmind Cells, and the various enemy mods (Armaments, Barrier, etc.). This is already kind of happening, with the seasonal limitation on which mods you can equip, but I think that this could be more defined moving forward and a solid replacement for armor sunsetting. For instance, regardless of the armor set, the Taken Barrier mod would expire at the end of Season 16, or something like that. I’m wondering if this might be more possible based on what they’ve showed us about ghost customization in Beyond Light. 3) Provide more potential sources for earning Enhancement Prisms and Ascendant Shards. The double rewards Nightfall Ordeal is most definitely a step in the right direction. For example, in 4 or 5 runs at Master difficulty yesterday, I ended up with 7 Shards and 18 crystals. (I finally masterworked two pieces of exotic gear I’ve been holding off investing in due to sunsetting, lol it felt like Christmas come early 😂.) Events like that are a fantastic idea. I would add that there should be other ways to earn those rewards other than just Nightfall Ordeals, similar to the way that the new seasonal pursuit weapon (Beloved 2.0) can be earned from any of the 3 core activities. Thoughts?
