Pets or small Companions in D2?
I know ghost is your companion, but I'm tired of him always talking and floating when you need to scan something. Can we have actual pets or small companions? Stranger seems to have a floating fish as hers. Something similar like in Pokemon when you have them follow you around the map? Turn it off in certain activities of course, but things like patrols, strikes, and other social places like the tower. Have a setting to turn them on or off. Yea we're super badass guardians but I want a side kick to follow me around like in Warframe. Maybe they can provide buffs or aid in battle? wink wink idk just an idea. Some may not agree and thats fine, but companions in D2 would be awesome.

If you want pets... and housing, guild halls, player marriage, maids, etc, just go play Final Fantasy 14. Besides, pets in D2 would be close to pointless. If they gave meaningful benefits in combat, they'd have to be auto-banned from PvP, Gambit and a bit of endgame PvE, I'd wager.

Original destiny 1 concept was that the guardian has a tiger companion which later became the ghost. I would love to see it as well

Only if they did something and were a part of a quest, where you infuse them with light(?) so they can be brought back. Shank. Somewhat of a less powerful arc soul. Fires arc projectiles. Cabal War beast. Basically an attack dog. Falcon. Swoops in and attacks an opponent, temporarily blinding them. These wouldn’t be allowed in crucible.

I never understood this request. Other games have "pets" and they are never actually useful past.. go fetch mechanics. ESO for example has them. No idea why but it does. Just seems silly to me that we would have some random space creatures following us around. Just hanging out while we fight. Then when we die we can watch our pet just float or sit in space till we revive. lol

And pet emotes and accessories ! Surely suckers will buy them from Eververse and feed the trend for microtransactions in already-paid-for games.

I’d be okay with a little companion like the Exo Stranger has in Beyond Light. But then I’d assume that most of those creatures would just be cosmetic and be put into Eververse, and everyone will be mad about that.

Instead of Shells they could offer Transfigurations or something like that. Essentially it would change the entire appearance of your Ghost. Like a small bird, fish, turtle, etc.

1 AntwortenEarly concept drawings had a space tiger as a companion but after this long if we were intended to have pets they would be in the game by now. Maybe one day we will have our own apartment we can kit out with a space hamster and fish in a large tank alongside a model collection.
