I can't play Destiny 2 on my Xbox because it never loads. I start up the game. I press A and then I sit there while it loads until I turn off my console. I have tried to clear my data cashe. Nothing is helping. I have friends that play on Xbox and want me to play with them but I can't. You guys don't have Cross platform so I can't even play with them on my PC.

Get a SSD it’ll load significantly faster

The problem is the size of the game and the consoles themselves. The game is huge, and the console makers with with slow-loading (even by 2014 standards) internal HDs in order to cut costs. Which is why both of them have switched to SSDs for the next gen machines. Best solution? 1. Lowest cost: get a 7200 rpm external HD for your XB. The game will still be slow to load, but it will load faster than your consoles internal drive. 2. Expensive but more effective: Get an external (USB) SSD. You can get a 2TB drive for $200-300 US depending on where you buy it. I put one on my PS4 Pro about 6 months ago when I just couldn't stand the loading times anymore. Its not QUITE as fast as the loading times you get playing on PC...but it is close and a VAST improvement.

People are actually gassing Bungie for removing content and calling it an expansion, and somehow thinking they'll suddenly get a handle on atrocious load times in year 4. Yeah, my main menu takes 41.7 seconds to load in the tower, and a further 15-20 second to load each page (collections, triumphs, etc) because Mars, Titan, Io, and Mercury exist. That's about perfectly in line with Bungie logic. Astounding fellas.

Save your cash, don’t bother buying any SSD upgrades for XB1 etc (pointless spending £100-200) Just wait 3 months, put that cash towards a new XBSeriesX (that is your preference of platform) & Beyond Light Seriously, right now, with D2 you’re not missing ANYTHING!

That's why they're removing stuff, bro

Yeah the white screen is a nightmare, 2/3 mins, but once in, it seems quick enough using external SSD on the One X.

Have you turned it off and on? Seriously though, give it a reinstall. Should sort it.

Bearbeitet von SolarCerberuS: 8/19/2020 3:44:23 AMAssuming there is nothing wrong with your hardware (there could be) It may pay to reinstall the game Load times are long with a regular HDD invest in a cheap SSD most loading for me is less than 15 seconds apart from the initial boot which usually sits between 20 and 30 I mainly got it due to taking ages for the inv screen to load properly mid match/mission Loads inv now 1-2 seconds max I use a 500GB Seagate barracuda SSD on an Xbox one X

Maybe something is wrong with your Xbox. Mine loads just fine.

You can thank sunsetting for lower load times during Beyond Light.

2 AntwortenIt literally just takes forever if you sit long enough eventually it’ll load it’s something they said they were trying to fix with the release and beyond light
