You can't touch a freighter in No Man's Sky. However, seeing as I could judge it by starship standards, a regular freighter -based turret should do something. So, you have a dreadnaught, he has a dreadnaught, so it should be fair.

This isn’t No Man’s Sky. Every ship can be easily destroyed here. I have a 15 kilometer long dreadnought pointed at your barely one kilometer long if you insist on going by No Man’s Sky parameters. Either you do what the thing says, or you don’t participate. The DM rules all in their RP. When you start DM’ing, you can do that yourself.

Aye, aye, skipper!
-
glad we got to that consensus.
You receive new transmissions. “REPORT TO THE MAIN HANGAR ON THE COMMAND DREADNOUGHT.”
-
Jack teleports into his fighter and takes off. He flies into the main hanger on the dreadnaught.
-
Crowley walks out of a corridor into the hangar. “I need your assistance in a matter. Do you accept?” His eyes and veins are deep black, dark borders tracing across his pale skin.
-
Jack pauses. "What is your issue? I like knowing what I sign up for."
-
“I am facing a rather large army, and the opponent has me outgunned. I’m dismantling the leadership.”!
-
" Who is your opponent, and why are you fighting him? "
-
“I cannot, and will not tell you this. Either accept it, or leave.”
-
Jack thinks for a moment. "Alright then. I must decline your offer. Common sense and morality dictates this."
-
“Good day.” I leave.
-
Jack gets the feeling that staying for longer would be unwelcome. He departs for his ship.
