I have watched the forums everyday for over 3 months.
It isn't something obsessive and proof I have no life, it is something I do when going to the bathroom or waiting on something else like food in a microwave cooking.
What I look at is around the top 100 posts trending (I sometimes just read the headline if the post is massive and not worth reading, like two posts on the EXACT same small thing), and in the Feedback forums. I like to see people's opinions for changes and I like to find out what's going on for the community.
What I didn't expect was to discover Bungie's change to the way they do business.
Bungie has not replied to more than 2 posts in over 3 months, and guess what. 1 of the posts was a picture of a meme. DMG's comment was "don't trip".
Bungie is the only gaming company I know of to proudly ignore their entire player/customer base.
You gotta remember. Bungie has no email for us to contact. No phone number. No live chat. No ways of normal contact for companies.
So this feedback forum is all of our communication with Bungie and they care so little about us, they haven't been at least willing to write 3 replies to tens of thousands of posts over months.
Wondering why Sunsetting is spammed on the forums and always trending?
Cause no one is being heard or having their posts read by Bungie. Regardless if it is good or bad to you, it is a prime example that we had no say in the first place.
What happens when your post in the number one trending spot for over a week, about a vital issue with changes to something in the game? Been there a few times lately and guess what. Holding number one spot can't even increase your issue being resolved cause again, Bungie ain't here.
Edit: Please keep in mind when looking at Cozmos Bungie Activity, you are seeing him liking posts in other sections having nothing to do with feedback, like the section where you can rant about "off topic" nonsense where you can post a story having nothing to do with Destiny, or his replies are only a couple a month to feedback, and some of his activity is him replying to his own damn TWABs or his own articles, he's not replying to us.
Cozmo and DMG being the only two people at Bungie reading our posts and never having a single month they even manage a HANDFUL of replies, and they often copy and paste which is so much worse, is not proof they are even doing their jobs.
Noble 6 already embarrassed himself being the Bungie fan boy replying with Cozmos activity proving my post right, they work full time yet they spend less that 10 minutes a month reading their damn forums.
40 hours a week pay. Less than 10 minutes in a 160 hour month even spent "managing the community"
We deserve better, end of story.
I am not reading or replying to replies as I seen that the Bungie ass kissers have arrived. Don't need to read them telling me how me and their own damnselves are out of place to expect any reasonable things.
9 AntwortenBearbeitet von RockNotABoulder: 7/13/2020 4:41:01 PMSo. At this point it's quite obvious that most of their time is spent on reddit. This is due to multiple factors: 1. Reddit is honestly a better platform than this site. 2. Feedback tends to come in a more mature fashion there. 3. A large post is made maybe a couple times about a certain issue, Bungie sees it and they will reply when they have an answer. 4. There is less negative feedback from Reddit, as well as a larger amount of people. Bungie.net at this point is an extremely vocal minority. 19/20 posts here will be about something negative, and it won't be a problem with a possible solution. It will just be 5 paragraphs of -blam!- and moaning with a "-blam!- you Bungie." at the end of it. The last 1/20 is a lore post/fanfic that most people don't care about. If it's not clear to you guys. Bungie understands we don't like sunsetting, and there will be 2 possibilities. 1. They find a different solution, and tell us when it's ready. Seeing as sunsetting likely took a while to put together, it's reasonable that this will take time as well. 2. They stick with sunsetting, and make a TWAB that says suck our nuts. Either way. They are going to respond when they are ready and have relevant information. Bungie get's flamed whenever they say "Passing this feedback on.". So instead of saying that, they are saying nothing. They will get to us when they actually have a well thought out answer. You can't expect a company like this to reply instantly to every single -blam!- and moan. Despite Cozmo and Dmg-04 being community managers it's highly likely that they still have to get approval to say things. As for them paying attention to reddit more than paying attention to their own forums. Reddit is where the most people are. It's where they can get the most feedback. Why would they waste their time in a negative cesspool?

1 Antworten"We don't like Masterwork Cores". Bungie: "We hear you and made the changes you wanted. No more MW cores. Now they're enhancement cores. Everybody happy?" So sunsetting will indeed be removed, as per our request. It will be replaced with "obligatory retirement".

1 AntwortenSad, but true.

1 AntwortenCan you believe they won an award for community support last year?
-
cozmo did recently comment on a trending post about sunsetting but only to say that he doesn't have any new news on the subject and that they are still moving forward with it.
You gotta remember. Bungie has no email for us to contact. No phone number. No live chat. No ways of normal contact for companies.
Just to point out that they are also quite active on Twitter with IDs like @Bungie, @BungieHelp, @A_dmg04, @Cozmo23 etc etc

I disagree considering it's been well known Bungie takes this place with a grain of salt (literally) since in general its filled with entitled kids whining and insulting them and each other. Bungie conversates all the time in reddit. This place is not to be taken seriously. You've been misled.

33 AntwortenBearbeitet von An Error: 7/14/2020 1:13:23 PMGranted, Bungie deserves a lot of the hate that they get and a lot of the constructive criticism But the reality is that they have the most ungreatful fanbase I’ve ever seen outside of WoW No matter what they do, people are yelling profanities, asking how stupid they could be even if most of the community loves the change in question. Players spend months begging for a change, and once they make it, other players come by and reeeeeeeeeee wondering how Bungie could be so stupid as to make this change It’s only in their best interests not to interact with their community, no one is obligated to interact with people that are spewing hate at them Yeah, maybe they deserve it, maybe they don’t. But either way, it’s only wise they stop looking at the forums Edit: This exact post of mine was reported for harassment. I got it appealed, but I thought it would be relevant to know.

13 AntwortenThis forum is crap, pure entrainment! It's the same negative useless feedback over and over. A lot of people really have taken it personal with Bungie. It's just a video game company....its just a game. Doesn't cause any body harm. Everyone has a choice.
-
On one hand, listening to the community is one of the things that ruined Destiny in the first place. On the other hand, I've always hated that they almost never respond to anything on the forums. When it comes to sunsetting, though, they were pretty clear on what they were doing and why. They could respond to all the posts about sunsetting and just include a link to the TWAB where they explained it. Would a reply like that make you happy? No, so that's why they are saying nothing on this particular issue. It's been decided, if you don't like it, stop playing.

3 AntwortenBearbeitet von SSK0T: 7/13/2020 12:59:51 PMLike it or not, they are very active on Twitter and probably on Reddit more than here. Twitter is a market leading platform. This forum has a very small number of users. I'm here, but seriously a big post here is 400 upvotes. Reddit has posts with thousands. Twitter is a much higher percent of the total market. Giving feedback on Twitter isn't going to accomplish anything more than doing so here (they really don't need or want ideas from us), but that's where you'll find them. If you could have a number one trending post on Twitter you'd be on the news, plus B would listen. Twitter is where trending posts mean something to the world.

Bearbeitet von Noble 6: 7/13/2020 10:03:45 PMSo, because OP has horrible reading comprehension and can't even do 3 min of research, I have listed out all the replies of JUST Cozmo over the past 3 months. They are all to big feedback topics, no silly pictures. It's been some time since my last math class, but that's a few more than 2 I think: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/256524539?page=0&sort=0&showBanned=0&path=1 https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/256511521?page=0&sort=0&showBanned=0&path=1 https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/256371442?page=0&sort=0&showBanned=0&path=1 https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/256371313?page=0&sort=0&showBanned=0&path=1 https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/256371251?page=0&sort=0&showBanned=0&path=1 https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/256307980?page=0&sort=0&showBanned=0&path=1 https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/256289215?page=0&sort=0&showBanned=0&path=1 https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/256271031?page=0&sort=0&showBanned=0&path=1 https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/256077722?page=0&sort=0&showBanned=0&path=1 https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/256077699?page=0&sort=0&showBanned=0&path=1 https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/256030505?page=0&sort=0&showBanned=0&path=1 https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/255842378?page=0&sort=0&showBanned=0&path=1 https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/255841378?page=0&sort=0&showBanned=0&path=1 https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/255723676?page=0&sort=0&showBanned=0&path=1 https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/255712815?page=0&sort=0&showBanned=0&path=1 https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/255661066?page=0&sort=0&showBanned=0&path=1 https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/255631737?page=0&sort=0&showBanned=0&path=1 https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/255631621?page=0&sort=0&showBanned=0&path=1 https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/255967369?page=0&sort=0&showBanned=0&path=1 https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/255962315?page=0&sort=0&showBanned=0&path=1 https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/255855273?page=0&sort=0&showBanned=0&path=1 https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/255855267?page=0&sort=0&showBanned=0&path=1 https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/255855124?page=0&sort=0&showBanned=0&path=1 ...so. I honestly don't know why I even returned to this topic since OP is completely incapable of handling even mild criticism and will throw a barrage of insults at you if you point out something is wrong, but here we are. OP seems to think that pointing out that there are... a few more replies from just one community manager than "just 2 over 3 months" makes one a "Bungie fanboy" and a "complete dumbass". I personally think it's worth pointing out egregious fabrications. I'll leave up to you to decide who's right. Also, for the record: I have no interest in playing Bungie Defence Force, but I have interest in pointing out OP completely made shit up. Also also, as others have pointed out, the community managers are very active on Twitter and reddit, which are equally part of the community.

3 AntwortenI too watch these forums but not to see what Bungie says. To see what these scrubs are gonna cry about next. "this quest is too long, I want it NOW". "I can't win in PVP because I'm a .4 KD, remove it from the game". "I had to play one game of Crucible for a quest now I have PTSD". "The guy in my tower has cool gear, give it to me too" whaaaaaaa. Sprint cancelling was a real issue at the start of the season. People reported it and stressed how bad it was, Bungie replied and fixed it with in two weeks. There's a big difference between reporting an issue/ giving real feedback about the game and just whining like a spoilt child. It's their game and they can change what they want. Us real players see the changes in the game (META shifts, sunsetting) for example as just another challenge Destiny has to offer us. The game is supposed to be hard, grindy and unforgiving. If you don't like it or aren't having fun, play something else.

33 AntwortenThe fact sunsetting is mentioned everyday and is still ignored is kinda rude

11 AntwortenIt’s pretty bad they pay attention to the sub reddit than their own forums
-
Great post OP. I agree 100% Bungie is king at ignoring their community and fans, which is really annoying.
-
1 AntwortenBungie usually starts to "care" just before the release of "new" content. And you know what? It works for them.
-
I sign in daily at work for when I get downtime/breaks. I agree with OP.
-
I logged in just to say that this is good post.

11 Antwortenthey only communicate with streamers and social justice warriors (on reddit)
-
2 AntwortenBungies business is about showing you the way to their Everworse shop or the Exit.
-
Can I have DMG job ? Just need to reply " we're listening" every 4-5 months 😎
-
51 AntwortenIt’s because b.net doesn’t even account for 1% of the community. We complain about streamers getting more attention than us, yet we represent a smaller portion of the community than them. Cozmo and Dmg are both active on reddit, where the majority of the feedback comes from.

1 AntwortenYou called OffTopic nonsense. Prepare to die!! *draws sword*
Sorry, all out of salt.
5 AntwortenBearbeitet von PhantomBrown: 7/13/2020 8:05:56 AMDude. They are working flat out during a pandemic that's killing thousands a day to get us content. I don't give a -blam!- if they don't reply to non of the morons around here. Their job is to keep us in content. And people like you that just want to disrupt and destroy aren't helping.
