We get it, we've plaied them for 3 years now we know they like to take their sweet time but i think god killing guardians should be able to cast a spell without stading still for 3 seconds... it's almost impossible to use it in hard activities, basicly useless ability.
sincerly, warlock main since D1 alpha.

Agreed. In pve, it has to be used preemptively.... or your dead before animation completes.
-
2 AntwortenI have like, 130k kills in pvp as a Warlock and have used this ability maybe, once a day. If you use it preemptively to hold a lane then the enemy sees you put it down and just doesnt challenge. And if you're using it defensively because you are weak, by the time you actually place it and begin to heal, the enemy that left you weak has already pushed the f out of you and got the kill. It's pretty situational and largely due to the cast animation, slight reduction would be actually nice.

3 AntwortenThe slow speed was fine back in year 1 when just about everything was slower at killing you. Was probably even a little on the strong side back then. Now though it's a monstrously slow ability that was never adjusted to a sandbox where virtually everything is faster than it. Heck, despite its own problems I find Phoenix Dive to be a far more useful ability simply due to how much faster it is, and how much more mobile it lets me be in comparison.

Warlocks need a buff in general, would love to see them have a broken exotic for a minute, or would love to see a buff on the bloom tracking and speed for slova. The whole class needs a buff and a re work, and this is coming from a titan main

3 AntwortenNova too. I get killed mid animation constantly. Rift is often too slow for PVE even.

1 AntwortenIt only made sense back in vanilla when everything took 2 seconds to kill but now the game’s pace is fast. Its so fast that its possible to make it across the map in less than 10 seconds if using the right build so imagine how fast it takes to chase a warlock or titan around a corner or toss a grenade on their position and easily watch them die because their animations are extremely slow? Both barricade and rift need an animation speed buff

9 AntwortenBearbeitet von Codykins: 7/11/2020 7:26:27 AMAs somebody who not only mains a Warlock and feels the 'hardmode' of PvP on a daily basis, but also mains scout rifles, it's hard to say that Bungie will probably continue to turn a blind eye to this. Warlock's have been shafted on a near consistent basis since the Stormtrance Nerf of D1. Honestly, I think casting the Rift, should turn your character into a moving Rift; almost similar to how the Karnstein Gauntlets operate, or that Rifts should damage enemies that enter them the same way titan barricades do to deter people from being able to rush in and just insta-kill me out of it; Even with 100 Recovery, IIRC, it still takes roughly 41 seconds to get our rift back after using it, while a Hunter gets their dodge back every.. 10 Seconds with 100 Mobility? 7 Seconds with Frost-EE5?; and if they choose, can combine that 12 second cooldown with a Wormhusk Crown to get chunks of their health back while breaking aim assist/bullet deviation? People complained since the first couple of months after the launch of Destiny 2 with video evidence from players and streamers alike that Warlock melee's were slower than Titan/Hunters; years later, what does Bungie do? They give us slightly increased melee range instead of making us melee the same speed; which is nearly completely redundant due to the fact that melee attacks LUNGE at the enemy, bringing you into their melee range, meaning they will continue to win the melee fight because they are still faster. It doesn't help that the lead head of the PvP Sandbox changes over the years, Jon (not sure who's in charge now), mained a Hunter and explicitly stated that he didn't like Warlocks. I've said this over the years, and I've continued to stick by it, purely as my opinion; if you want easy mode, play Hunters; If you want a neutral experience, go for Titan, and if you want hard-mode, main a Warlock -- There's a reason most of the big streamers out there are always mostly playing as Hunters in PvP.

Yes please.

2 AntwortenReduce the animation time for Nighstalkers tether.

2 AntwortenDawg reduce animation for everything, you die mid animation for almost everything.. Titan shields/rifts, orb slamming, finishers, like jesus at least give us a slight over-shield

As a Titan main, here’s an upvote.

Really wish people would stop pretentiously lying about being one of us. I agree with your post, but you ruined it trying to justify your voice with a fraudulent title.

1 AntwortenWhat I hate the most is phantom rifts. *When you perform the rift animation but only a fart comes out, it's like the Warlock did the incantation incorrectly and forgot how to do it right* It's situations like these that make the Rift truly unreliable.
-
I think exotic armors that affect warlock and titan class abilities, should also increase cast speed. Symmetry vest or kuipers helmet.
-
both barricade and rift need faster deploy times, cant tell you how many times ive tried to pop a barricade only to get destroyed halfway through

Completely agree. Dying during rift animation feels very bad. In pvp and sometimes even pve if you don't use it behind some sort of cover you're just going to die. Just as others have said I think a quick bandaid fix would be to give some sort of overshield during the animation, or even a quick burst of healing to the warlock at the start of the animation. I think both would be pretty easy to tune with minimal effort. However in the long term I think all animations should be looked at (super, ability, etc.) and tuned more toward the quicker gameplay Destiny 2 is heading towards.

Bearbeitet von Bamstatic1: 7/10/2020 8:01:38 PMIt would be interesting stat tracked. Why do we track grenade type used and killed? Why do we track supers stats? What do we always have melee kills count bounties but not rift. But rift... nope. I bet the rift is the lowest of ability class used if ever in compare. I’m having to retrain not for health regene, as I can just hide and recover health faster. Unless I know there is a ‘hold your ground’ and DPS, which means... one use in raid or strike lol. Just once used lol. So having to learn for fire power, fly in, guns out, lay rift, melt. But Zone clear ratio is so fast, don’t even need rift fire power lol. Ohhh a knight! let me get into a rift and melee punch 🤛🏻 fight with him! damn, fellow guardian precision shot him. Lol 😂
