Sunsetting is a Complete Joke

If you are going to implement sunsetting - implement it across the board; in all aspects of the game. Don't just half-ass it because your precious reskins aren't being used by the pve playerbase. If you are going to sunset weapons - make them unusable in any content, which means yes make all content take power into consideration if only for checking "okay this item's max power is below current season max so reduce damage/etc." - not just the tiny fraction of the game that actually uses our "power level" - aka, arbitrary content gates. As it stands right now - sunsetting is only going to hit pve and trials/iron banner. PvP players will still be stuck facing the same. annoying. constant. loadouts. in any non-power-enabled match because your development team is half-assing this "feature". Seriously, usually you hit pvp with changes that screw over pve - but now you just blatantly have decided to screw pve directly because we aren't using the weapons you want us to use - and you won't just man up and disable/flat out remove old weapons that you don't "want" us to use anymore. Because you "respect" player time investments as long as they don't conflict with your micromanaging. If your pve players have to lose their weapons for their most-played modes because you can't design anything better than what you've made in the past -- then the pvp players should have to lose things like Revoker, Beloved, Flavor-of-the-Year Shotguns, etc. and not just in weekend Trials and sporadic Iron Banner playlists, but in the most common modes for those as well - Quickplay, primarily; Comp less so. It's bad enough you made Gnawing Hunger essentially as powerful as Hardlight without needing to rely on ricochet and now it is the new copy-paste auto that you see EVERYWHERE (unless you're spamming The Summoner because you played Trials woo grats) - and bad enough that since the new season and sunsetting was implemented engrams are dropping shit tons of repeated drops like 2334 Night Watches and Gnawing Hungers (because you made Umbral drop pools extremely limited). But now you've decided alienating the part of your playerbase that prefers to NOT carry 27 loadouts on them or in their vaults just because you want to nitpick and micromanage every aspect of how WE play the game, is the best course of action because you dug yourself a hole you can't get out of with years-old god rolls being better than any of your new weapons/reskins/reissues.
