Projectiles can be seen in unexpected places. They appear when Guardian uses hands to climb to cliff, they can appear when using ghost, they can appear for a while in the air. In all cases it appears on screen, not in the game world, i. e. it is not a real projectile, just its model. For first 2 points, watch attached video.
