I’m pretty sure most of what we’ve gotten across both games was cut from D1.
The EDZ was cut, along with Chicago.
The Pyramidion was moved from Mars to Io.
The Dreadnaught was pushed back and released in TTK.
Europa was cut, too.
The story was chopped up and turned into the mess that was the vanilla D1 campaign.

yep they did. as i recall the campaign was about a hunt for an exo who was being hunted by fallen - and the exo looked like cayde 6 but was actually supposed to be rasputin. then months before release, the execs at bungie told them to dump that in the trash, and there was a mad scramble to come up with what became Destiny 1
