it seems like half the forum is in an outrage over forge afking, which allows you to reach the powerful cap extremely quickly without doing anything. I don’t really see why though because I feel like the light level grinding part of the game has always gotten a ton of criticism, as every new content release for the past year or so has just been the same gameplay loop of “Do all your powerfuls and pinnacles on all your characters until week 2 or 3 when you hit the powerful cap, then spend a few weeks doing pinnacles until you are the power cap”.
Forge afking completely circumvents hours upon hours of the same mundane vanguard, crucible, gambit, gunsmith bounties and lets us skip right to the pinnacle grinding part of the gameplay loop which I guess is why I don’t understand why people are complaining. NO ONE likes doing those bounties, so heres a way to get straight to the cap without doing any. But people still complain and argue about “Cheating” and it being “Unfair to legit players”. First of all it’s not cheating, second of all no one cares that you are a “legit player”. If you’re grinding power level legitimately right now you are just sabotaging yourself out of hours of play by not just abandoning your moral high ground and afking forges like everyone else.
I can understand the people who are upset that they are trying to do forge content and keep getting afkers, I don’t know why people are afking at a level at which they can match other people and that’s their fault. But if you are upset about forge farming because you think it’s cheating, game breaking etc, why do you care? People don’t like doing the same weekly bounties every week. If there’s a workaround to that then it’s a blessing.

4 AntwortenI haven’t played 1 forge since the season started. You guys are dumb for thinking this was the fastest way to level up. I was 1060 Wednesday just from playing the game. I don’t care if people do it, that’s their choice. I might do it to grind out umbral engrams for leveling up my drifter decoder but it’s definitely not the fastest way to hit 1050. It’s just the way that requires the least amount of effort.

Bearbeitet von Jenn: 6/14/2020 1:32:36 PMI haven’t done a single forge farm but it doesn’t bother me that people are doing it. This is bungies fault for not making leveling up better. 🤷🏻♀️

Facts. I am in the U.S. Military, I have been playing this game since launch. I love the game. I know the grind is a broken record and a huge waste of time. If there is a way I could spend less time playing by not doing the same shit every reset, then hell yeah I'm going to take advantage of that. Streamers think every Guardian can play for 24 hours a day like them. Not sorry most people actually have very busy lives and real responsibilities. Bungie needs to improve how powerfuls are earned. Apparently with 700 employees that's too difficult for them to do.

3 AntwortenPeople are genuinely mad that people are bypassing a pointless grind created with the intention to slow down how much content you can experience. That’s hilarious.
