You already got your perfect Gnawing Hunger? Bungie says screw you, grind again, for the same gun. Nice content Bungie. I’m tired of recycled guns/armor/quests/destinations being called content.
Just like Joker said, Bungie wants to sunset your god rolls and resell them to you later.
I thought we wanted to reduce FOMO? Instead, if you go away for too long, your stuff is irrelevant! Isn’t that fun?

1 AntwortenSunsetting as a whole, is healthy for games...but the way they went about it, and they way they will continue to handle it, is toxic and shitty. Efficient way to piss off their community.
-
1 AntwortenAgreed sunsetting is a big mistake. Sadly I knew it would end the game for me. Gave it a chance today but as I suspected it would it's ruined what is otherwise a fun game. I didn't feel the way things were before sunsetting were so badly broken that this action was necessary. Why destroy your game over a trivial issue that most didn't feel was a problem.

Came back after not playing D2 for a while. Could upgrade my favorite weapons and get back in the fight. But then i find out my guns are no longer viable for playing the game in a few months time.. I have had it, no point putting time into this game anymore.
-
I had feared that lazily releasing old content as “new” content was part of the reason sunsetting was becoming a thing. However it seems like it was the only reason, and here I thought season of worthy was bungie’s lowest.
-
7 AntwortenI am all for sunsetting. A game that is going into it's fourth year and you still want to use a gun from year 1? That's bland and boring. But it has to be done right. And so far, it isn't being done right. Bungie has to stop reintroducing weapons as New seasons come in. Don't just update to a new season. Make a new armor set. Make a new set of weapons. (I'd even take reskins so long as they are dif archetypes and perks). And they cannot, a season after a gun has been sunset, bring it back. Let weapons die. Let new ones take their place.
-
2 AntwortenI don't mind sunsetting in general, but sunsetting a weapon only to make a new of the exact same is bs. If you're gonna sunset something don't do it half-assed and make a new version of the same gun, Bungo.
-
So what you gunna do about it? 🍿
-
15 AntwortenNow they're sunsetting content, you can thank the people that agreed with the whole sunsetting bullshit to begin with, they enabled a whole new method of FOMO and reselling content.
-
2 AntwortenNekros Xyroxee you make some valid points and I agree that ever verse should be removed from this game. But Whether we wanted it or not, we’ve stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars. So let’s get to taking out their command, one by one. Valus Ta’aurc. From what I can gather he commands the Siege Dancers from an Imperial Land Tank outside of Rubicon. He's well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on Freehold.

1 AntwortenSame here, got some weapons out of the Season of the Drifter and Forsaken Iconed Weapons in Godrolls. Say whaaaaaaaaaaaaaat, got them Godrolls all with a small amount of luck but most with a lot of grinding time.
See my ingame Time here: https://chrisfried.github.io/secret-scrublandeux/guardian/4/4611686018470548527
And you know what yesterday i was so angry seeing my perfect Void Sword STEEL SYBIL Z-14 made by ADA-1 Augmented Frarme with double Perk (one Extra in one row to switch around) only aging to Powerlevel 1060. And when i saw this Sword beeing reintroduced with "ARRIVAL" Icon aging to 1360, i raged at my Desk to people i played with, who where in Voicechat channel with me at that moment I said/cried why the hell does Bungie kick us so mighty in our face and be cool with that. BUNGIE DOES NOT REPECT OUR TIME #BungieRespectourtimepls Why even do let Sunset items sunset when we allready have perfect items. You Bungie said you want to avoid Powercreep and what you do to us is force us to destroy our time earned Items so you can bring exactly same items back. You Bungie said you dont want to invest so much time comparing new Items with Items allready in game anymore to save Time and money and go for new Ideas etc etc. But there it is. Same items are in the Game and only difference is you forbid us to use the exactly same weapons forever only because we have God Rolls on them? Why didnt you just let those items you wanted to reintroduce just age as Exotic items. Would have spared you alot of Coding and avoid beeing the target of so much angry players. Please Bungie, just call on me and i will help you making Destiny 2 an overall better experience for all players. But this.... is playin with our feelings. Its even more worse then FOMO you allready forced on us. Without prejudice or judging, you Bungie are forcing us to be like "Sisyphus" from old Greece. SHAME ON YOU

I would love to use all my weapons i have . I would like to change gear and make builds . I spend thousend of hours colect those weapons with good rols and spend alot resourses masterwork many of them . I include the time spent to farm for those resourses . Guess what ... i almost never had a chance to use most of them . Why ? Because i never kept up with the light lvl infusions to keep all my weapons up to a curent light lvl for a certain season . So i had to stick with the few realy good weapons because that is wat i can keep up lvl-ing up to speed for a current seasonal activities and raids while i chase the new seasonal weapons and armors . The infusion cost is absurd high . The masterwork cost is also absurd high for weapons and armor . I just gathered a good stats armors for my 3 characters and masterworked it. And lets talk about Gambit prime armor sets for a moment . Why nobody use them in Gambit prime anymore ? Because we have to regrind it all over again in each new expansion and in every new season we have to light lvl infuse it . Agin the resourses and time for lvl-ing up is the problem . last season i regrinded the armors for my warlock (reaper centry colector ) and my titan (invader) and hunter (invader) and i infuse them up to 1000-1010 . And now what ? Can i play with those armor sets this season before i make them up to 1050 at least ? And then what ? What about next season ? I love to play Prime . Maybe many of you dont like it but this is only an example . Lower the cost for ifusions drasticly . Make a universal armor set to grind for stats and from then on make only new ornaments for that armor set and new catalists to chase in activities and raids insted of new sets of armors because we cant ever use the entire set of armor the way you make it if this does not change . Give us more titles to grind for . Make it like those ornament and catalyst have reasonable drop chance so people grind for them . Dont sunset the weapons . We always go after all the weapons you make . We grind for a good rolls for those weapons and use them throughout the season here and there then store them for later use . like i said i love to mix up my weapons but i mostly don't have the chance to do it except in strikes and i would love to do it in all activities . So that was from me . I cant do this any more . I am concidering quiting the game if sunseting take place . I dont like Bungie get rid of destinations we payed for and store them for later use so we pay for them again in the future . Power creap and Disk space is just an excuse to strip more money form us .

Sunsetting is 100% Pure Unadulterated Bitten, Chewed, Swallowed, Ingested, Digested, Defecated, Texas Steer Manure! Your 100% Right!
-
5 AntwortenYeah I found this out this morning when I had an Arsenic Bite drop. I inspected it to see that it is capped at 1360, ok cool. I pulled the 1 I've used for 2 years off of another character, infused it only to see that it's capped at 1060. Then went and inspected a few other weapons to only realize the same bullshit with them. Honestly I think this is the straw for me. I don't think this game is meant for us vets anymore.
-
Yea, I didn't really care about sunsetting at first because the game is objectively easy and I don't really need any of the guns I've gotten used to... Guess I still don't care but it's pretty lame they're just arbitrarily making old gear obsolete and then replacing it with the exact same thing.
-
1 AntwortenYou don’t want to pay for what you had in d1 and d2 already? I don’t understand
-
2 Antwortentotally agree. have a god roll bad omens, god roll pulse rifle (can’t remember the name and don’t feel like checking), and all escalation protocol guns that i put -blam!-ING DAYS WORTH OF TIME TO GRIND, etc. and bungie is now saying -blam!- you grind it again. not to mention i now have to farm the god rolls for these guns all over again. D1 beta player here and I am so close to quitting the game which i never thought these words would leave my mouth. such a shame

The surprised pickachu face is a pretty accurate representation of this forum right now. We said time and time again that this is what sunsetting would mean. You were warned well in advance. You don't have a right to be angry now.

I tell you something else it's going to do - it's going to make it harder on serious players because casuals (with jobs, and only an hour or 2 each day to play, like me) will just STOP upgrading stuff. We keep using the same loadouts BECAUSE UPGRADES ARE STUPID EXPENSIVE IF THIS ISN'T YOUR JOB. They'll take it as it drops, and start swaping to the next higher power level to keep up, regardless of what it is. Legendary Auto-Rifle with MW 1 level? Use it, it's still got 5 more power than I had. Boots with only Arc Energy 2 and 15 less total stats? Well, it's 4 more light, so it's going on even though I can't put better mods in it, and increase my attributes. Blues? Even better. Always drop with about current power +1 or 2, sometimes even 4 or 5, and can't even attempt to upgrade really. EVEN MORE SAVINGS! "But Kylden, how does this hurt the serious players?" Matchmaking activities. See, once I figured out masterwork guns make Orbs of Light, I started making them, if only to help THE FIRETEAM by making more orbs. Armor upgrades let me get more attributes, which make me more efficient? Started doing that to at least 5 or 6. Finally started working toward an full Masterwork set on my hunter since I play that the most (mainly cause first, in hindsight I like the party support options of Warlock better). This let's me help my teams faster. Like I said, I'm casual, so I don't get a ton of materials. Were it not for the Stadia free trial giving me the Seasons, I'd have even LESS. Most of my stuff would not be upgraded. But if my crap is going to be sunset, and I have to re-upgrade everything all over again AND get new stuff to increase light level, well, screw it. Not going to upgrade anymore. Just going to take what comes with [Current Light]+x and shard everything else. So, less orbs in your fireteams. Less efficient ability recharges, and less frequent super and rifts and barrier and grenade use. In short, the vets will complain that blueberries and casuals are even MORE useless under the new system. Cause they can't afford to be more useful.

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von ArmyKnight75: 6/12/2020 1:29:57 AMIt’s long past time to sunset Luke Smith. His power was capped at game blogger...

Ignorance is bungies specialty.
-
8 AntwortenSunsetting is amazing. Recycled content is bad. Bringing things from d1 is bad. Reskins are bad.
-
5 AntwortenWe are going to sunset weapons so we can implement more new weapons. Season of the arrivals: Here have 6 new weapons the rest you already have but you will have to grind for another god roll.
-
2 AntwortenYeah this literally happened to one of my clan-mates. Got a God roll Pinnacle Gnawing Hunger two days before Season 10 ended. I'm pretty worried about Joker-San, a few of his clips were pulled down recently - definitely looking like we're going to see exactly what he said from Bungie though.

Came to these forums to ask if the previous dlc (Shadowkeep and Forsaken) come with Beyond Light but after seeing this thread I don't think I'm interested in coming back... yikes :S

1 AntwortenI think we need a new emote Like Chuck our guns and armour in a dumpster and set fire to it Could call it sunsetting
