I understand the concept of cycling content, but on launch of Beyond light we will lose:
Io, Titan, Mercury, and Mars
Access to the Leviathan (which I assume means all activities associated with it), which is 4 raids.
We'll get in Return:
Europa, and the cosmodrome (one being old, returning)
2 raids (one of which wont be coming until later, and again, one being old)
If new seasons continue to be as small as they are, this is a net LOSS of content for the year in these regards.
To be clear, I will definitely take the cosmodrome back over any of the zones we're losing. (Especially if we also get plaguelands with it?)
Us losing more raids then we're gaining though hurts, a lot. It hurts a ridiculous amount.
ALSO: I dont know how many strikes we're gaining, but we're losing SEVEN strikes.
Destiny doesnt seem like its growing, it seems like its shrinking with this.

1 AntwortenLet's be real. When was the last time you went to Titan for reasons that weren't a flashpoint or quest. Strikes and missions don't count either. Just straight up patrol.
-
1 AntwortenThe goal is to remove content from the game, not to replace it. Bungie wants a smaller game to work on.
-
1 AntwortenThey said they are taking more away at the start to make room for the future, so they can do it all in 1 swoop, instead of taking stuff away multiple times over the course of a year or whatever. Do some research.

I'm ok with it as long as the story fits the purpose of removing them and it seems like it will.

I honestly don’t care one bit. Only reason I go to those planets are if quests direct me there or to do the flashpoint. I haven’t touched a Leviathan raid in ages as the rewards are pointless.

1 AntwortenYou’re making it sound like they will never add any more in the future after Beyond Light.
did they say they would never add any more locations? (Honest question)
Ahhh in d2 Less is more, lol

1 AntwortenI think they’re gonna have the Leviathan ship flee the darkness and then it’ll return years later offering the old raids as “new content”.
-
I saw that they’re only adding 3 strikes, kinda sucks. Personally I don’t really care about the planets we’re losing, but leviathan needs to stay

1 AntwortenI think they have the ability to just remove the first 3 raids on the leviathan. Because while there are technically 4, only 3 actually share the same space. Will it happen this way? I have no idea, but it’s plausible nonetheless. I think they would be dumb to remove the Menagerie as well, they could easily change the loot pool and it would become one of the game’s best activities again.
