Destiny - Past, Present, and Future
In case you missed it, we revealed a ton of info today on the new Season of Arrivals, the next expansion Beyond light, and more.

Credit where credit is due Bungie this season has been fantastic so far! I've really been enjoying the whole mysterious vibe and the revamped loot system. And while I still have my gripes with the new direction (I really wish you'd reconsider weapon sunsetting and REALLY REALLY wish you would not implement ARMOR sunsetting!) But overall I love the new direction that you are looking to take.

At this point, why not delete D1 if you’re bringing it back into D2? Wouldn’t that create more space? 🤷🏻♂️ like, merge, ya know. Also, cool announcement, but it falls flat as the new season is STILL the horrendous horde mode we have to do to complete bounties. Do better.

I can't continue drifters quest! I have to many ENGRAMS to accept the one from him so I'm stuck in a glitch seeing how I can't get rid of one!! Heellpp

17 AntwortenWas just thinking. As someone who had purchased every bit of content since Destiny 1 and well before Destiny 2 went free to play, you’re telling me you’re removing content from the full game and full expansions I paid money for? That seems... problematic.

10 AntwortenFeedback after yesterday: Story is cool, visuals are great, armor and weapon design is some of the best, Drifter actually made me laugh..great dialogue. Why does the new content not provide a loop to level your power?? Havent we been here before? Umbral engrams immediately lose their worth because they dont give you power, so everyone just has to go back to powerful and pinnacle drops for weeks...yay. This killed my interest, which is very sad because I love the dungeons. Yeah great we will get to play it at some point. I feel like the only reason this new dungeon was released was because it's really the ONLY reason to play the game at all.. That too is sad. I was literally falling asleep trying to play strikes, gambit, crucible, etc.... God man.. Why doesnt the new stuff give you power increases???? At some point, Luke cant call these things mistakes..

3 AntwortenSo, You're putting pretty much the entire current game in the vault when the new expansion hits? The part in which our sunsetted weapons would still be usable? How does that even work for the campaigns? They are gone as well? And I've paid for every last one of them.. And you're reselling a portion of D1? And will resell other D1 content again at a later date? And then later you will resell what you vault with the new expansion? I kinda liked the idea of being able to play a darkness class... But this entire sunset BS and now taking away the vast majority of the game destinations had killed this idea.. No pre order from me.. First time since vanilla D2 that I'm not bying into this ... I'll wait and see if you're worth spending money on

Despite all the hate comments i read, I still fully support the game through thick and thin, I am really excited to see what comes next from year 4-6. Keep up the good work guys.

So far, I really like the blighted GL. I like the new PE. I like the umbrals. This season is an improvement over the last, which I didn’t finish. The story is interesting. I don’t like earning season mats via bounties. Investment and progression forces me back into old routines, which invoked the sense of futility. It isn’t overriding atm, and I hope it doesn’t cuz I wanna keep playing. It’s the doggone leveling/bounty cycle. I remember people saying how easy bounties are. They are. But if you want to do them quickly and maximize how many you do, it’s really a predetermined path that just gets old. When you take a break and come back after months, falling into the same patterns isn’t fun. Anyway, I think you’re making the right adjustments for your financial future, as long as the new content, the really new stuff, is good. I do think you need to address the investment/rng grind. I don’t know how sunsetting is going to play out with engagement. It doesn’t bother me, bc I didn’t grind GRs for every weapon. And, you’ve already implemented the only compromise I could think of. Personally, I’m going to let this season decide how I move forward. Looks good so far.

in the seasonal crossover, was the catalyst quest for Tommys Matchbook supposed to be completely erased from my pursuits tab? because The Vow catalyst quest is still there from season 8. was this intentional? or is this some kind of error, as i was looking forward to using the weapon more once i had masterworked it

I like your idea of vaulting the least used content and trying to bring the file size down. I'm excited that the Cosmodrome will be coming to D2 as many of my friends that I know started on D2 and never got to experience it. I'm also excited for a 4th element and the possibility of a Darkness Subclass. One huge recommendation, Please work on your story telling, make sure every thing feels connected and finished. You don't always need flashy cutscenes but more dialogue during missions and activities will make the game feel more alive. I hated the forges during Black Armory they had no Anouncer or any thing.

1 AntwortenHaven’t played in a while and may be interested in picking D2 up again. The removal of planets I think I agree with. The download size has been a deterrent to me because of limited monthly internet, and I’m pretty sure Curse of Osiris and Warmind won’t be missed as much as other things. But why is D1 content returning? I get that PC players can’t access three years of Destiny, but shouldn’t the focus be on moving forward?

Why would you introduce a UI/UX change, which invariably PUNISHES players from sprinting. What’s wrong with sprinting after jump or after bumping into something? Why would you want to punish your game’s players from instinctively learning to spam the sprint button over obstacles which may cancel it? For instance, sprint, jump, cancel jump, bump into something... sprint now or no sprint? Why would you want to make your game slow? People are cancelling Beyond Light in light of this #sprintgate. And I don’t blame them. It’s the cost of a brand new game and with TLOU2 and Horizon Zero Down coming to PS5, where should the people spend their money? What is more important to me is the postmortem you should, (would?), do after you revert all this mess with the hotfix you’ll release right away. How can something so bad, so punishing have made it into your bread-and-butter? #sprintgate #PS4

2 AntwortenEventually, I'd like to see showcases for builds that people can make in the current season. Charged with light and warmind cells were cool but people want to see application. [i]Sure[/i] we can experiment and figure it out ourselves but are we utilizing these builds 100%? With the tweaks rebalancing performance, players want to see [i]how[/i] powerful these new gimmicks can be. So, sun setting is a thing. What are new hot builds one can muster for endgame content? Show what's viable and also, come time to say goodbye to something like powerful friends, you can show where it's still viable. You have these YT vultures stealing your thunder. Maybe it's time to start posting your own videos.
