I’d make this a poll but there’s not enough space on it to account for even a quarter of all of the games available. So I ask you, what’s your favourite Mario game?
Personally, I’m going to go with Super Mario Galaxy 1. I’ve played the original Mario 64 all the way up to Odyssey but none of them captured the feelings I had when playing Galaxy. The music, the creativity, the design and the controls sold it to me as my all time favourite Mario game. Sure some could say SMG2 is so like the first that it could practically be considered an expansion pack and I’d agree with you, but there’s just something special about the first one that stuck with me.

Definitely Sunshine. Man, the memories I have of playing that game every morning before school. I would wake up early just to play it for atleast an hour before school. Nowadays, no game can make me get up earlier than my alarm.

Baseball. Seriously it rocks.

I haven't played much mario, but that one desert level where you go into the sewer or piping or whatever it was in new super mario bros DS is one level I'll never forget
-
Probably not objectively one of the best but personally I used to play 3D Land a lot when I was younger.

64 and sunshine are up there by a mile

2 AntwortenI think it's gotta be 64, followed closely by Sunshine.

1 AntwortenThousand Year Door. The last masterpiece Paper Mario game.

Super Mario Galaxy 1. I feel like Super Mario Galaxy 2 is technically better, but I just loved the first one so much more.

My granny has an old beat-up snes literally held together with duct tape. She's only got three games: Super Mario World, Jaleco Baseball (the greatest baseball game ever made), and madden something (which linda sucks). Super Mario World is easily mg favorite because me, my brothers, and my cousins would all gather up in her tiny room to beat that game and get all the secrets over and ovee again.

Super Mario 3D world. Also this doesn’t count as a Mario game but I liked yoshi’s wooly world a lot too.

For me it would be mario 3 as that's all I had on the nes when I played it at the grandparents. When finally getting our own I enjoyed the the fake 2nd one. That being said, mario 64 was amazing and I'd spend hours trying to find secrets. Can still remember hating that first water level and diving into the depths. Still get the same chills when playing Subnautica.

3 AntwortenOf the ones I’ve played, I haven’t enjoyed any as much as 64.

Galaxy or 64.

Mario 3. One of the oldest and still the best after all this time.
-
Mario 3. Reading the responses in here makes me realize how many youngsters are in here lol

I agree. Galaxy is the best because it is simply the most different and consistent of any game in the series. The music and gameplay alike are incredibly unique even to this day.

It’s a tie between 1&3 on the NES.
-
Sonic Adventure 2.

1 AntwortenProbably the original Super Mario Bros on the NES. I played several up to the Mario 64, which was fun, but I just liked the original one the best.
