So my fav handcannon, a better devils with my fav perks on it (one being explosive rounds which barely even drops on any new weapons) will have a max power level and I wont be able to use it after a certain season ends?
You have finally put the last straw on the camels back.
Time to go play something else.
Edit:
1) I've yet to find any handcannon with both timed payload and drop mag which makes up for the god awful reload time on these guns which is why I like this particular better devil's so much.
2) It's a loot shooter and in any game of this type, you grind it for your preferred roll. Now Bungie thinks it's a good idea to take that away from players for some reason instead of designing a proper fix for their mistakes.
3) No I haven't played any endgame content lately because a) my clan went awol and all quit for other games cuz this one went do crappy and b) what's the point? With exception of a few exotics there's really no reason to. Most of the stuff you get from non-endgame activities are as good if not better than what you get in raids or even nightfall specific loot.
4) This is the new Bungie, not the old Bungie, and their history has dictated they always have ideas that sound great in theory, but then completely f**k it up on execution. Enhancement cores ring a bell? How about the season of the bounty?
If they didn't have a now two year history of making ridiculous decisions, I would have some faith, but I doubt any of the new gear will be anything but reskins and nerfed rolls.
Some of you will find reasons to justify anything this company does with this game and defend it to the hilt. I swear, you're like a woman who gets beat by her boyfriend and stays with him making excuses for why it's okay. LoL

If by the time my favorites get "sunsetted" I don't have acceptable replacements, I will find a replacement for Destiny. Simple.

5 AntwortenDon't most famous/infamous guardians of lore wield a favorite specific weapon? Isn't it something that our guardian should be able to do as well? "Play how YOU want" sounds nice, but bungie apparently wants to make that as difficult as possible to enjoy if you so choose to try that. I love the mechanics and feel of this game, and the setting is fun to immerse yourself into, but I really feel it's potential is being smothered by some seemingly unstoppable darkness. Is destiny really just a reimagining of the struggles going on inside bungie itself? 🤔

1 AntwortenWhy play a looter shooter if you dont want to chase new gear? Why bother giving players rewards from activities if they are just gonna keep using the same weapons? Thats why a game becomes stale and boring. The incentive wont be there. Long lasting Metas turn crucible into a mess and lfgs will kick anyone not following the meta for end game content.

2 AntwortenYeah this game is so bad it makes Anthem look like Game of the Year!
-
25 AntwortenAh yes, because you're going to take better devil's into comp, trials, raids and iron banner. Yerp, no way is it usable in the other 90% of the game. Your better devil's is gone bro. Just... Gone.

I approve of sunsetting. And it’s happening. That is all. Have a nice day
-
1 AntwortenI mean technically you can still use it😂
-
3 Antwortenyou haven't done a raid since last wish and even without your normal clan, you apparently haven't even made an effort to play crown or garden at all, so why come here and complain for the sake of complaining when you won't even be affected by this? You can still use your favorite gun in strikes.

Sun setting starts in September I think
-
It’s very wholesome that you are concerned about your explosive payload 140 rather than a pinnacle or ritual weapon, I got an old fashioned last season with explosive payload it falls in the same arctype, that being said there are many other reasons to be upset about sun setting.

Bearbeitet von thatdudeEd54: 5/21/2020 7:09:15 AMEver thought of using Sunshot. 10x better than better devils in more ways than one. Has explosive rounds and combustion kills that explode and chain react any taget near the explosion. Solar damage, 12 in the mag, decent range and stability with the masterwork, and a pretty fast reload, and has a faster rate of fire

My main issue with the retiring equipment is that they wont replace them. People worked their arses off for guns like Mountaintop, Recluse etc... and the pinnacle guns are some of the best in the game. If they retire them (which will happen) what are they going to replace them with? They have already given us insight into their mindset by not including any pinnacle or ritual weapons this season. That mindset is here to stay. All this is going to do is force everyone to grind out god rolls on ‘normal’ guns turning the game into even more of a grind. As grindy as Pinnacle Guns were, at least the quests could usually be completed in tandem with other things and at the end of them you got a guaranteed great roll. Now you’ll need to grind out the same task over and over with no such guarantee. I’m ok with weapon retirement so long as my equipment gets replaced with stuff of equal value but Bungie have made it clear this season they don’t intend on doing this.

Bearbeitet von Yosemite Sam: 5/19/2020 11:34:13 PMI remember when they nerfed a few weapons in the first game in the first year before they capped them. Then they started using what they nerfed as carrots, only for those weapons to get nerfed for a second and third time and some of them a 4th time. So, when they finally stopped nerfing them, most of them ended up sitting in the vault because they became useless. Edit: Take Icebreaker, Truth, Fatebringer, and a few other weapons they destroyed. That is exactly what is going to happen when they cap these weapons. Your favorite weapons will be destroyed. So go ahead guys, prise this company for knowing how to nerf most things to the ground and cap them, because that is what we called "incentive". You know, when you regrind for the same weapons for the umpteenth time.

5 AntwortenI see characters not at max level. Go ahead and keep playing with whatever you have. Not going to affect you!

6 AntwortenThis is why they need to do it. Ppl refuse to try new things and just use the same thing over and over either because they don’t like change or because they saw a video saying it’s op. Sometimes change has to be forced in order to evolve. Don’t get me wrong. Bungie has made more bad decisions than good in this game but this is not one of them.
-
1 AntwortenYour literally complaining about something that you stated in your edit wont affect you lmao if your not doing endgame content then keep using the gun, no one is taking it away it will still be in your inventory the only time you have to take it off is to go do end game content, dear god you be forced to change your gun for 30min of your play time lol
-
There needs to be cleansing at bungie so many need to be fired from Luke smith to the bottom
-
6 AntwortenI guess we can't change the fact that they will do sunsetting. I think we should try to see it positive, maybe you'll get a new favorite gun.
-
4 AntwortenSo by your own admission this wont be something that will affect you. It only end game grinders that will be affected. Even then it's not a huge deal all hanes if these types have sun setting. I'm good with them doing this so that the rewards can be better. Only thing I wish they wiylf do is balance pvp abd pve separate. But that's about it

Bearbeitet von goldy411: 5/20/2020 7:42:17 AMI am a lot less motivated to play season 4 this year if non-seasonal weapons I get from gambit/crucible/strikes/forges/menagerie/world activities will be endgame useless the very next season. Might as well wait it out until year 4.
-
You will be able to use your favorite gun just wait till they re-introduce it as a reskin so they can have more “content” in future seasons. (Im obviously making fun of them saying they will re-introduce are weapons) Hey maybe it will have terrible rolls to prevent power creep maybe all perks that give additional damage may be gone to prevent power creep
-
3 AntwortenBearbeitet von Pr0t0Zer0: 5/19/2020 3:17:11 PMSorry bro. Your better devils is apparently causing powercreep but exotics arent somehow...
-
Bearbeitet von Kiro - 13: 5/20/2020 5:29:15 AMYou know they have made lore about the bond between guardians & their weapon. even a lore bit about an exo saying if his gun got any smarter id be his lover. Glad to see Bungie casting aside their own lore for for a tool that serves no more purpose then a indirect answer to the balancing issue since they refuse to do PROPER EXTENDED TESTING, O they do it and have pointed out in a few more recent TWABS it does occur while always side stepping the truth they are not actually given the real time needed for testing due to the test server needing to be scheduled and taking multiple hours to get up. If thats news to you well you are like most then, as Bungie is very careful to not make this public knowledge. This constraint of only one testing platform that takes hours to even get running is always on Bungie's mind when applying new content and fixes. More recently they explained in great detail how the restoration tower in the edz was indeed tested and they believed the bug was fixed. However admitted it was still present when the concluded testing but attributed it to the tester server more or less giving a false positive thus they viewed it as "fixed". Clearly it was not a false positive and having multiple test servers would have concluded this.

Better Devil's has long been surpassed since Forsaken
