The armor part freaks me out. My friend group doesn’t enjoy grinding master nightfalls for loot so I usually only get enough Ascendant shards in a season to masterwork a few pieces of armor. If my armor is gonna be sunsetted then there’s no reason to masterwork them. I’m not gonna lie, with how weapons seem to come out with uninteresting perk combinations, underperforming weapon archetypes and recycled weapon skins, I will not be playing Destiny in the future when my weapons that are worth something become obsolete due to power level. Every season there are a few weapons that are interesting enough to grind for but there’s nothing wrong with me enjoying my Austringer that I got back in Opulence. I can’t say much because it hasn’t happened yet but now Bungie is effectively killing off activities completely. Why run menagerie? Why run forges? Why run old raids? The loot isn’t viable. Sure, raids can be fun, but forges? C’mon, most of the reason forges and menagerie are enticing is because of the unique gear you can get. Unique perk combos, curated rolls, ACTUAL NEAT AND ACTIVITY EXCLUSIVE DESIGNS (Black Armory weapons). This depresses me.
