The truth behind this, since that day I believe it was Deej that said that. This company has used words ln this form many times and 90% of it never really had any value. The reason for this, they struggle to follow through with their own words.

But given how often people cling to straws on this situation. Bungie should just delete everything we all currently have and finally validate the tears of the entitled.

They already broke that in D1,year 1 gear was locked at 170

That statement was invalidated a long time ago. Bungie consistently makes loot obsolete. There's a long list of loot that was nerfed/adjusted into oblivion.

To be fair, they were talking about the original Destiny, not D2, and A LOT has changed in six years. Holding this against them in D2 is like holding "You see those mountains? You can go there!" against them in D2 as well.
