With out the majority of players participating, the mode will wither and die.
Forbes even wrote about it and articulates the situation very well.

I welcome discussion, but will ignore the knuckle dragging “get good” response.
Thanks devs for your hard work!

My opinion, I don’t enjoy crushing hopeless teams and I don’t enjoy playing the people that crush me. Trials is the best mode in the game when it is an even (skill wise) series of matches. Second the amount of recoveries and network manipulation is appalling on Xbox. I won’t name and shame but feel free to look at my Xbox clips if you wanna see some ridiculous and blatant cheaters. Yes it is cheating when you are up 3-0 and all of a sudden 1 player on the other team becomes like fighting neo in The matrix.
-
I don’t think it’s meant for the majority of players. Bungie like to make things they know very few people will play/complete. It’s part of why this game model doesn’t work that well.

Thanks devs for your hard work!
After watching one of Aztecross’s latest videos, I agree that trials could go back to having weekly weekend bounties that drop loot so at least everyone gets some of the loot for participating. That being said it is a pinnacle pvp activity so there needs to remain prestige in going flawless so I would say we need to have adept weapons make a return with celerity as an intrinsic perk. This way your average player gets guns and armor and the flawless players can get slightly better guns and armor ornaments like D1.

PvP isn’t fun for the majority of players. Fixed it.

Bungie logic.... PC players: "there is too much cheating..do something Bungie !" Bungie: "we will fix it next season." next season..... Bungie: " we incorporated crossplay" Playerbase: "DOH !"

1 AntwortenRemove emotes from trials

I completely agree with the Forbes article. I'm in a somewhat similar situation. Every single week I've tried multiple times to go and get three wins and only the first week was when I was able to do it. I don't know anybody that I could ask 2 take me Flawless haven't even if I did know someone or sat in someone's stream to hopefully maybe get a chance of going flawless, there's no point. Why did pull the Flawless ones to get gear that probably won't be any good and weapons with crap rules that you'll just end up scrapping anyway. Unless something changes or encourages more people to go into trials and stop matching people with the ridiculous number of flawless runs with people who have none within the first three games, there's no point in even setting foot in trials and attempting 3 wins cuz you probably won't get it.
-
My friend said he is done and will delete D2, so now I have to find another person in my already empty roster of friends or clanmates..

This game is backwards in so many ways. PVP stuff can be accomplished by almost anyone. Most of the raids now are garbage easy. Trials in itself isnt the issue, its the fact that you can exploit it by farming tokens, recovering accounts, running people through etc. Bungie turned an eye to it as their "streamers" support them and pretend its ok.. meanwhile posting !recovery and a nice price tag comes up
-
Make bounties from Saint able to earn weapons not JUST tokens. This would help the low skilled players and casuals. Let token drops happen after 5 and 7 wins. These our my opinions. I believe they’d help the game BUNGIE
-
They just need to stop flawless players farming the early card and all will be good.
-
Trials in d1 was a lot better you still get some stuff by completing bounties
-
I don’t care for the weapons, I don’t care for flawless. BUT DAMNIT I WANT THAT WARLOCK AND TITAN ARMOR!

19 AntwortenTrials isn't for the majority. It's for those of us that can put wins on a card. You'd think that would be obvious 🤔
-
I had hoped that trials would have been an event, similar to iron banner but comp playlist. It would have double glory (up and down), and bounties that would be completed for pinnicle gear, which would be the equivalent of wins/flawless... emblems granted in addition upon first complete! Maybe an overall quest/token system similar to iron banner as well for seasonal armour/ritual weapon/shaders/emblem (generic) and have ship/sparrow/ghost as rare post game rewards. Plus map rotation... for the love of God, map rotation!!
-
Ironically so many wanted it back, but like IB Bungie decided to add 3 wins or no cigar to trials (plus no solo queue or match making) and a silly bounty to IB to complete before you can turn tokens in. I’m glad I’m not trying either, and having fun with PvE stuff.

Bearbeitet von helpfulgamer404: 3/30/2020 11:23:34 AMAll the complainy casuals that went to sweat bag PC think something else besides their choice is the issue. Come back to console and leave PC. They will NEVER fix that noise on there, they can't. Thats been PC gaming since it's inception and will always be a thing. Accept the fact that a PC gaming rig was a waste of money, and move on and learn from your mistakes. You wanted features and you got em. You just never considered unintended or negative consequences of PC gaming, only the positives, otherwise, ya probably wouldn't have made a purchase. Awaiting butthurt PC kid response justifying purchase. Just don't.

D1 trials: Weekly bounties to try for trials loot so still an incentive for the casual to try Ornaments (you know bungie those permanent glows and such) and adept weaponry for the best players What was wrong with that I only got to five wins maybe twice back in the day I’m not saying it should be easier but the old design meant their was more reason for people to aim for the lighthouse
-
This is the way it's always been since D1 though, right? 1% of the players actually play and enjoy Trials and it is supposed to be for the elite.

3 AntwortenAll the sweaty PC streamers complaining about cheaters and what not. Go play on PS4 or Xbox from a comfy couch :). No more 100 Fov ,60fps, 1ms TN panels and hard light snipers. Personaly i dont care a shit about trials, pvp for me is gambit max and iron banner sometimes. Same as raids have like 7-10 percent all players who completed it i guess trials players are in the same level. I would personaly like a PVE-PVP type game mode like gambit just more players and with menagerie type events. Just my 2 cents.
-
The lag has been crazy bad. It’s hard to tell if that’s it or I suck at this point. I’ve never had the skill gap be this bad. Over it.

3 AntwortenToo many cheaters. Free to play was a bad idea

Bungie sowing: Haha -blam!- yeah!!! Yes!! Bungie reaping: Well this -blam!-ing sucks. What the -blam!-. Maybe don't lauch the most "fair, balanced and competitive" PvP mode in a game with increasing error-codes and bugs, no dedicated servers and no proper anti-cheat while also being F2P? I mean, WHO could've seen this trash-fire coming?

Bearbeitet von dadomike: 3/30/2020 5:21:42 AMThe decline has started, even you tubers have noticed it, this vid sums up a lot of what is coming to d2, just like what happened in d1. https://youtu.be/liCwNA2btTI

11 AntwortenThe majority of players haven't even been in a raid according to data.
-
1 AntwortenThere should be some form of SBMM added to the playlist. There just isn't any excuse for players with 30 plus flawless cards to be playing against players struggling to make it to their first flawless card.
