Really bungie? We have 2 wins on our card and you’re going to match us (none of whom have a flawless run) with a team that has 16 flawless runs a piece... seems like a little BS that early on a card!!!!

42 AntwortenBearbeitet von Kind: 3/22/2020 5:01:02 PMI put up a post on this and it never gained traction. But I think since trials in a tournament it should ran like this. • If you go flawless for the week your lighthouse goes up one rank and you now play other guardians who went flawless once. • Twice your light house goes to rank 2, you now play guardians who went twice, 3, 4, 5, same. • They could cap it at lighthouse rank 10, 15, 20, whatever works. • Higher lighthouse rank rewards cosmetic glows, banners, something visual so people can see who’s the sweatiest. • This would reset after the weekend and start over the next week. This would make it a true tournament and show who is the absolute best of the best. The higher your lighthouse rank the sweatier it would get. It would also open it up for good, and not so good PvP players to participate and have a decent time. I doubt this will ever happen because there is this mindset that trials is just for the elite, but if it worked like this it would show who actual is the elite of the elite.

1 AntwortenIt's because the life-depends-on-it try hards reset their card after every few wins now so they can pad their stats on newbies and make their K/D look better. It's the same life losers that lfg high K/Ds for quickplay so they can then try and hold their artificially enhanced stats over you because in their mind it matters.

Its card based so what?
-
6 AntwortenLet me make this perfectly clear: They. Don't. Care. It was traditional in D1 for people who went flawless to continue to playing trials to keep as many players out of the lighthouse as possible. Even though there was nothing else to gain.
-
Yep, that is how competitions work. Everyone doesn't get a gold star. Be better than you opponents and you will win. This is like saying, "Hey NFL the Patriots won to many superbowls they shouldn't be allowed to win anymore until I do, waaaaaaaa." LOL...some people have had super sheltered lives.

1 AntwortenIt’s what happens when you disable skill-based matchmaking.
-
5 AntwortenIf you really wanted to set foot in the lighthouse. You'd beat those teams instead of complain about it.
-
I mean dude its pinnacle pvp. Its gonna be hella difficult and sometimes unfair. I don't get mad at people using hard light or anything "broken" because this is where it matters. Yes I agree that bungie should fix the issue of matchmaking, but the current state of trials isn't that far fetched.
-
4 AntwortenSorry to say, but your team just needs to get better. It is connection and card based. Every flawless game I've played and won the text appears that the other team has fallen at the gates of the lighthouse. It is working as intended, and is the best possible matchmaking we could ask for. The matches get harder as it goes.
-
1 Antwortenoh no you went against good people in pvp.
-
5 AntwortenTrials was created solely for the sherpers and the streamers. Bungie does not a Flying F**K about normal people playing the game
-
3 AntwortenIts connection based, not skill based. Just "luck" of the draw.
-
Trials isn't sbmm. You face people who have the same number of wins and the best connection. You can face anyone if the stars align. It's a end game activity meant for the biggest tryhards in pvp. Treat it like a raid. If you can't seem to do it, then either try to learn and get better, or it's best to not play it.

9 AntwortenI find it funny how this season has a heavily competitive based game mode yet the game still doesn’t have dedicated servers, a proper way to balance PvP, an intelligent way to divide payers into skill categories or half a brain to realise that 3 hunters rocking shotguns and wormhusk crown isn’t fun.
Expanding on properly balanced PvP, a suggestion would to be having two different gear builds per character where one is PvE and the other is PvP. PvP gear can’t be used in PvE and vice versa, and each have perks exclusive to their game types. It may not be a favourable proposition. I’m just putting forward a method of balancing so that it’s not hypocritical.
It sucks horribly the matchmaking. Literally illogical.
-
1 AntwortenMy team is yet to get over 3 wins but that didnt stop us from matching TrueVanguard yesterday.... It was nice to contribute to his 80+ match win streak.
-
3 AntwortenAlso the card based after 4 wins is a lie. I played a friend of mine on his 5tg win with his mercy and we were on our second game. So that was a lie.
-
For what it’s worth, I’m probably average, maybe a little above or below depending on map, I take no joy in destroying people or being destroyed, the games that go 9 rounds and come down to a kill or hero moment, that’s what makes the trials format enjoyable. It’s o ot a sweaty game if both sides are close in terms of ability.
-
I totally agree with topic starter. If at least one team member has Flawless trial, they must fight against "Flawless" team.
-
1 AntwortenPeople who have the flawless run(s) they want for the week reset their cards after every win to farm you guys that work your butts off for 3 wins. Not a brilliant system in place atm

2 AntwortenI’ve given up on raids, I hate finding randoms just so we can spend a few hours in the raid, I love that soooo much man. You have no idea how fun it is to see the sun out, and by the time you’ve finished, it’s dark out. Trials just has people doing paid carries, intentionally stopping players, and just people running their characters for the next flawless. I can’t compete man, I’ve played trials today pretty much the whole day and we could even get a three win streak, just sweat after sweat. This game ain’t for me anymore. I hate the bounties, hate the power infusion, all the other gear I could’ve messed with in trials is level locked basically because why not. I just don’t care anymore, I don’t care what changes Bungie will make for trials, I just do not care. This meta constantly evolving is annoying, it’s one weapon every season, I do not care for autos my guy. I like my bow and smg, or my last word and scout. I enjoy those playstyles, but I’m severely handicapped. Suros and hard light are just too good to not use, I can’t blame people for using a winning weapon. I guess this is just me being tired of destiny, been playing since D1 beta, don’t care anymore.

Bearbeitet von GrifterDeMier01: 3/23/2020 2:26:16 PMDon't expect much to change in trials either. Look at gambit. They made a few tiny changes since it was introduced 2 years ago. It's still riddled with bugs and glitches. No new maps in forever, no new mechanics added to it. No new gear added to it. Nothing in pretty much 2 years and it's still a pile of garbage game mode. So that's what you have to look forward too with trials. It's not going to get any better.

How do you think they got 16?
-
I mean at 2 wins on your card, matchmaking will try and match you based on connection so its very possible to play against people with multiple flawless completions if their connection to you is decent. Card based matchmaking doesn't kick in until the last game on each teams' card from my understanding. Does it matter how many times they have gone flawless anyway? You have the same chance to beat them as any other team you might face.
-
7 AntwortenYou don’t deserve it. Get good.
-
I think that's fine. If the opposing team spent the time to develop their skills to run trials effectively why punish them to match people of similar skill? That's silly, firstly, it gives false pretense of achievement to those who don't match up people who happen to be very skilled and at the same time the people who are very skilled now have to try their hardest each time just to allow you the chance of going flawless. It's a lose lose situation.
